Experts say that pumpkin spice, as we all know, completely owns the fall. Absolutely, I crave it now. It's Brooke and Jeffrey in the morning, but there's a new seasonal obsession that's taken over the summertime.

That is a summer flavor. They're like taking over the world, I feel like, with flavors.
In the last three years alone, pickle products have increased by 180%. And that includes pickled popcorn, pickled pretzels, pickled protein bars, pickled flavored hummus, and even frozen pickle pizza. Wow, why do I kind of want to bite that? Why do I hope you heat it up before you eat it, the way Jeff described it? Retailers are noticing the demand for the product starts around early May, and it lasts all the way through the end of August. Oh, so it is seasonal. This is not like pickles in general. It's gotten so intense that a food trend forecaster officially admits pickles have become summer's main character. Let's go. Sorry, that's your job title? Food trend forecaster. So which product pushed it over the edge to make it the food of the summer?
Apparently it's when the company Smoothie King teamed up with Grillo's Pickles to create a pickle smoothie. That does sound refreshing.
