Hello, my friend, and welcome to Catch Up with Louise Maxari. This is the podcast where I do my best to keep you caught up with everything that's going on in the world. Yes, that's right. Every single thing that's going on in the world. No, not quite everything, but I try and give you the top line so that if you go to the pub over the weekend and people are talking about stuff, you're gonna be like, I know a little bit about that. Because today's Episode features two people whose voices I hear in my head multiple times a week, not because I'm losing my grip on reality, but because they are the hosts of my absolute favorite podcast, Who Weekly.
I know that lots of you listen to Who Weekly as well. And if you don't, you've definitely heard us refer to it over the years here on this podcast. They are so clever, so funny, journalists turn podcast hosts. They're both still writers. As well, and they examine celebrity culture and also the media and the media's interaction with celebrity culture in such a smart and funny way. I frequently laugh out loud at their podcast. So when I heard that they were writing a book, I was like, I gotta get them on my podcast. Their book is called I Wanna Be Famous, when everybody and nobody is a celebrity. It is out on September 29th, so you can get ordering now if you like. And I so enjoyed this chat with them where I think I managed to.
Like relatively normal considering I have a really extreme parasocial relationship with them. Um we talk about celebrity, we talk about who's and thems. If you don't know what that means, don't worry, that's coming. And we talk about podcasting, and I got to chat to them about Nadine Coyle, which was just a pure joy. I really hope you enjoy. Well, Bobby and Lindsay, it is an absolute thrill to have you on the podcast because I don't know how normal it is to have someone else's podcast be like a regular kind of mention on your Podcast, like I'm pretty sure that's not really the usual thing that happens on podcasts, but you're definitely the most mentioned podcast on this podcast.
That's an honor. I mean, we mention podcasts on our podcast, but sometimes when I do that I think this is actually a little bit too meta. Like I we shouldn't be t we shouldn't tell them to like go somewhere else. Like we should tell them to be staying here, you know? So then I get kind of in my head about it. This is like when we talked about the town too much for a while or Bobby did and then it was like me just talking about him. Like he's a he's somebody else. Why are we telling people to go listen to a different pod, you know? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah,
I I do feel like that sometimes, but it's impossible not to because I love your podcast so much and I've listened to it for so long. And because we do talk about entertainment stories on this podcast, often I'm like referring to something that you guys have said and it would feel dishonest not to kind of root whatever perspective I'm I'm You're a journalist,

Yeah, it's um I it's been amazing to watch C Matt. I mean, uh geez, there you go. That's someone who has absolutely gone from a who to a them in Ireland. Um CMAT, you know, had uh for a good while, she was definitely a who and now she is one hundred percent a them.
