Radio personality Pat Farnack Joins Us to Chat about Her Career in Newsradio and the Power of Fresh Starts

Hey everyone, it’s Amy Newmark with your Chicken Soup for the Soul, and today we have a special guest, Pat Farnack, who you definitely know if you live in the New York area as she was a host on WCBS NewsRadio 88 for something like 20 years. Pat has been in broadcasting since her college days when she would hang out at the local radio station, hoping for a gig. When the afternoon drivetime host quit, she was hired and the rest is history. She worked at various Pennsylvania radio stations and also in San Francisco. But I think what she’s best known for is those year on the air in New York, on WCBS, which has a very wide reach in the northeast United States. Pat retired after 47 years in radio, but she’s still on the air as it turns out, with her Health and Well Being Report that runs on WCBS and is also available as a podcast.
