Courageous Journeys® ~ Impact & healing from childhood trauma

Managing stress and overwhelm in an uncertain and unjust world: A guide for trauma survivors

31 Jan 2025

Description

For survivors of childhood trauma, a sense… a reality, of life being unfair and unjust isn’t a new concept…we lived it. But that deep understanding of injustice can often make the world feel even heavier when we see similar patterns play out on a larger scale. No matter where you are in the world, we all witness this in both small and much bigger, more impactful ways. And, I know many of you are feeling the uncertainty, powerlessness, or fear of what it all means. Today I want to share some thoughts and suggestions on how to navigate times that can feel familiar for so many. We’ll explore how to find balance in the face of inequality and injustice, ways to cope with the overwhelm, and how to hold space for our empathy without losing ourselves in it. Remember, it's okay to feel and care deeply but we don’t have to carry the weight of the world alone. Let’s talk about it. Join the conversation in the comments.
