This is about how to create the most effective brain dump in a way that it will help reduce your anxiety, improve your focus, improve your creativity, and kind of improve your overall mood. So I'm actually recording this podcast on the Friday, and an episode didn't come out on Friday. And I thought, why don't I release this episode on Sunday? Saying new for those of you that have started listening to this podcast after the first maybe year of the podcast, you wouldn't know this. But when I first started the podcast, I would release an episode on a Sunday. And I fucking loved it. I loved releasing on a Sunday. I thought it was the perfect time given the context of my podcast where a lot of people on the weekend like to do a bit of a reset or they like to reflect, or maybe they have the Sunday scaries and they want to feel really good about themselves before they go. Into their week. And I had a lot of great feedback about the fact that my podcast would come out on a Sunday. Now, no, I'm not yet, maybe not. Maybe I will. But I'm not saying that I'm permanently changing the release date to a Sunday.

But I thought I'm gonna do it as a once-off because I miss it. The reason I changed it is because when I signed with my first network back in the day, they said you need to be releasing on a Monday, it's just better, it's this, it's that. I weirdly, I never Never saw a s a ne necessarily a spike. There was just the the normal growth trajectory that my podcast was always on. Um but yeah, who knows? Anyway, we're doing this on a Sunday and it's gonna be like a little week like a weekend reset for you guys. So what I'm gonna do in this episode is I'm gonna be talking about Why a brain dump is so effective, why brain dumping can actually reduce your anxiety. I'm going to be talking about the cognitive behavioral therapy behind it, the psychology behind it, all of that.

I might be referencing a couple of studies here as well if I've actually written the actual studies down in my notes. I hope I have. But then I'm gonna give you a step-by-step guide on how to properly brain dump. I'm going to break it down into four steps, and they are going to make so much sense. Maybe Even five steps, I think it might be five. And they're going to make so much sense and you're going to be able to action this today. If you are listening to this in the morning, especially, you'll definitely be able to action this today, and you are going to feel like an actual weight has been lifted off your chest, okay? So before I get into it, of course, as normal, a life update. I've I have an office now.

Again. Again, for those of you along for the ride, I was recording my podcast out of my home for the last year, ever since I had the twins. So I was recording the podcast from home, which was great, and I'm very glad I did that. I have no regrets giving up my old office. I needed to, I needed to be at home way more. But then it got to a point where it was Just kind of not really manageable. The kids were getting louder, they were awake for way longer, like stretches in the day. So then every time I was recording at home, you could hear the babies and this and that. I also know that I am like way more focused when I work outside of the home. I get more done. I feel way more productive. I feel more on when I'm working on that task.

And therefore, I show up as a better version of myself when I come back home because I can really close that. chapter of the day, like my work day is closed when I leave the office or the cafe or where wherever I am at. And when I return home, I can just rock up as my at-home version of Alexis. And I just feel like I'm just better partner, better parent, better everything.
