Chapter 1: Who are Kim and Grandma Gail?
Okay, we are live. Hey, everyone. Hi, everyone. It's Kim. And it's Grandma Gail. We're going to do some live commentary watching the Met Gala red carpet tonight in real time and sharing all of our thoughts because we know we have a lot.
We have a lot of thoughts and we want your thoughts. So you'll have to feed it back into our, with us too and say whatever comments you want.
Yeah, think about Fashion Police with Joan Rivers back in the day, except we'll be a little bit nicer. Maybe. Maybe. And also a mix of that and just like sitting on your couch with your own family and watching and all the unfiltered commentary. That's what we're doing. So welcome to our family. We're watching from the Upper East Side. The Met is a block away.
Well, it blocked away in the rain. It's been a mess over on Fifth Avenue. You know, they blocked off Fifth Avenue for the last two days. It's been with all the trucks and the equipment and all the tents. So it's a happening here in the city.
It's something unlike any other ball that we have because it's outdoors and they, you know, people have to walk through this glorious tent up the steps of the map.
which you're seeing now. By the way, we're watching a live stream that's on Vogue.com. If you want it on your own screen, that's where to go on YouTube, on YouTube of Vogue's page as well. And we are watching it live with you. So we're seeing it all for the first time.
All right, Kim, give everybody the theme tonight because I can see it starting already.
Yes, it's super fine tailoring black style so there's a lot that goes into this theme um but first by the way oh there's that there's an coleman domingo and anna winter so we'll get into if you guys aren't already familiar who the hosts are this year um everyone write in by the way where they're watching from we'd love to know where you are in the world
And of course, as we start to see some of the outfits, say your favorites, who you're excited to see tonight, and we'll stay with you through the red carpet. So by the way, if you don't know, the Met Gala is a fundraising event for the Costume Institute of the Metropolitan Museum of Art. We love going there.

Chapter 2: What is the 2025 Met Gala theme?
I'm excited to see Kim Kardashian because I saw her children going into the hotel. So I know she's coming.
We're looking at Sydney Sweeney now, who's always gorgeous.
Yes. I'm not a lover of this drape on this other dress. You know, this shawl. Oh, you mean on Lala.
But yeah, we're looking at Sydney now. No, I know.
I'm looking at her and I'm thinking to myself, it takes away from her beautiful face and it sort of looks like she's got a sheet thrown or a blanket thrown over her shoulder.
Yeah, fair. I think Sydney looked good in all the black. I love the key neck. Now, wait a minute.
That looks like Hamilton. Costume out of Hamilton.
It kind of does.
I love it, though.

Chapter 3: How is the Met Gala set up?
you know, go out with a bang. I was at a party about a year or so ago where she sang. That's cool. And her voice is still... You have cool friends. Well, I think that was the last party that I had any cool friends at. But look how hard it is to get up those steps. Can you imagine us going up those steps? I can't even get out the front step of my building. So now these people are just...
Oh, she's just in a pretty white suit, that one that they just flashed on.
How many men are helping her? One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine. Well, they have to spread it, because they're spreading the train. Yeah, for the photos. And then they stop along the carpet to do their press, you know.
And when she takes that off, she still has a gorgeous body, by the way.
Well, when they go in to have dinner. Oh, this is all done then? No, they go in and have dinner. Yes. But do they take the cape off? Of course. You can't walk around with that cape all night. So you think she's going to change? Now, who's kissed her? I think she was, was it Zoe Kraut? Uh, no. I don't know who, oh, it was, uh. See, now, I don't know. Oh, there's a, is that, there's a day.
We must have missed her.
No, I don't think they're, I think.
Were they waiting to get on the carpet?
I think they're waiting to get on the carpet. It'll take her two hours to go up the steps.

Chapter 4: What are some iconic fashion moments at the Met Gala?
I've rewatched it so many times. It was a little exaggerated, the way high schoolers were living, but not far off. In New York City. Oh, it did? About the private schools and stuff.
Oh. Well, you know, they have to exaggerate it to make it fun.
Yeah, but honestly, there were kids like that. Okay. So it was such a good show. I love this red dress.
Oh, they turned that off.
By the way, if you're watching and you don't already follow us, please throw us a follow. Go to our profile. Some people said they haven't seen our videos in a while. That's probably because you're not following. So please go.
Because we're on all the time, everybody.
We post every day. So, yeah, ask us some questions. We're here on live with you so we can talk about whatever while giving our commentary. Yeah. Grandma, what would you ideally wear to the Met Gala?
Grandma couldn't go because all I have is a white shirt. I could wear a white shirt with a beaded skirt.
What designer are you having dress you and what are you wearing?

Chapter 5: Who are the notable co-chairs and celebrities at this year's event?
Yeah, but it's very interesting. Everybody is putting a little bit of something on their different attire.
True. It's a fun way to accessorize.
Exactly. And then you can take it off and wear it a different way. I'm like... A lot of red shoes.
Not into these looks, but I want his giant K necklace for myself. Oh, yeah. Shaw Khan, but... And again, he has a cane...
Because I'm telling you, the cane was very Cab Calloway. Yeah. For people who want to go back and look at dancing, one of the great dancers of, you know, tap dancers of the time was Cab Calloway. And he would dance with his group and he would tap the cane and catch the cane. So that was, you know, part of his entertainment. And that look was carried on by many people in Hollywood.
Harlem and other black areas that wanted to emulate Camp Calloway.
Right. But if you wore a cane now, Like when people just think you had a bad back.
They think you were a big dandy, which is what they want them to show.
I think they would think you had a bad back.
