What is Loz Antonenko’s background and how did she become the Mojo Mentor?

Bex 0:34
Like warm welcome, how are you doing?
Loz Antonenko 0:36
Oh, thank you. It's an honour and a pleasure, Bex, and I'm I'm doing splendiferously.
Bex 0:42
I love that word. I'm gonna add that to my vocabulary. That's great. I love it. Well, I'd love to just hear a little bit more about you, if you don't mind, just telling the audience sort of who you are and what you do.
Loz Antonenko 0:54
So it's interesting. The fitness industry kind of found me in my in my thirties. I was going through some really difficult stuff in my life and I'd been in the fitness industry, doing group fitness, working with clients for for a very, very long time prior to my life imploding. And it's it's been a really, really great journey. I mean, for me, fitness, uh, nutrition and all of the things that I coach were really a part of my own healing journey and then and turning that into and ability to help other people um as a consequence of my own lived experience and all of my study was actually quite a blessing. I I feel like I'm in exactly the direction that I need to be in. But uh it's been very difficult to encapsulate exactly what I do for people as a single title because it's it's way more beyond fitness, it's way more beyond nutrition.
Loz Antonenko 1:42
Uh and so I coined the term the mojo mentor. Um, which I trademarked. And it's interesting because, you know, people had been coming to me for very, very long time saying, you know, I just I just feel blur and I want to get my mojo back. And so it kind of just went from there organically. And you know, I work with really, really busy, overwhelmed, typically neurodiverse individuals. who might be killing it on paper. Um, you know, in in the in the life that they live on the front end, they look like they're successful, but on the back end they're really struggling to sort of get their shit in order and the last thing they prioritise is their self and their health.
Bex 2:19
Yeah, it's so common, isn't it? Especially with those sort of high performers and like you say, l everything looks good on paper, but beneath the surface there's a lot a lot of things sort of going on that isn't obvious to a lot of people and so therefore it can also be not super obvious to the individual until it kind of gets to the point where they're like, I need some help. So yeah amazing. And what does it kind of look like in practice when you're helping people get their mojo back?
Loz Antonenko 2:41
So typically it's it's a it's a three-part process. And so what I find is when people come to me, they've tried lots of things before, you know, they might have tried diets, twelve-week challenges, I've gone to life coaching, they've done personal development, they've read all of the books, listened to all of the podcasts, downloaded all of the apps. And yet, for whatever reason or another, they've continued to find themselves in this cyclical you know, stuck cycle, right? Mm. Where they're feeling a little bit better and then real life happens because nothing was perfect, because the system that they were following was designed for a perfect life that doesn't exist and they end up being stuck. And so
Loz Antonenko 3:15
What I find most of these people do is is they try and jump from what I say stuck to unstoppable and one fell swoop and they listen to gurus on the internet about all of these things that they're supposed to do, all these extra things like waking up at four AM and doing saunas and doing ice baths and journaling and and all of these
