An urgent meeting in Europe. I'm Kathleen Maloney, Fox News. The European Union will hold an emergency meeting tomorrow to address President Trump's threat to impose tariffs on eight countries that do not support the U.S. buying Greenland. Fox's Alicia Acuna with the latest.
A 10% tariff will take effect on February 1st, an increase to 25% on June 1st, unless a deal is reached. The countries include Denmark, Norway, France, Sweden, Germany, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands and Finland. European leaders quickly... and sharply criticized the move. Thousands also marched in Greenland and Denmark today to protest against a potential U.S. takeover.
Meantime, a bipartisan group of U.S. lawmakers is in Copenhagen showing support for Denmark and Greenland's sovereignty and NATO.
The president claims Greenland is crucial to U.S. security, and he has not ruled out the use of military force to take control. The U.S. launching another strike on ISIS targets in Syria.

So far, they say there have been 100 targets that have been hit all over Syria related to ISIS targets.

The historic new governor was sworn in on the iconic steps of the Virginia state capitol in Richmond. And she says that the history and gravity of this moment are not lost on her. I maintain an abiding sense of gratitude to those who work generation after generation to ensure women could be among those casting ballots. Spanberger is Virginia's first female governor.
Spanberger previously said she hopes she can work with the Republican-led federal government, especially given Virginia is home to many federal employees. But she also said she's ready to stand up for Virginia and its economy. Spanberger is succeeding now former Republican Governor Glenn Youngkin.
