Reportedly, one misfired, the other destroyed by U.S. Navy guided missile destroyer firing an SM-3 interceptor outside the Earth's atmosphere in space.
CENTCOM also says bunker buster bombs destroyed intelligence hubs and radar sites in an attempt to open the Strait of Hormuz, which Iran has been attempting to block. In Hawaii, flash flooding forcing evacuations and rescues of more than 5,500 people told to leave over fears a dam could fail. Firefighters rescuing more than 230 people from low-lying areas. We are talking about major, major heavy flooding across the Hawaiian Islands. Some of these rainfall totals are hard to imagine, but 50 inches, that's getting up at a summit, so mountainous areas usually squeeze out a little bit more water. But even as you get into some of the cities, up over two feet of water, this has been a major rainfall event. I'd love to say that it's drying out here, but unfortunately, through the weekend, it's not. We still see moisture picking in from the south and from the west, and rain at least often on showers, maybe a little less than we've seen, but often on showers across all of the Hawaiian Islands the next couple of days as temperatures there are climbing back up into the 80s.

TSA employees have been working for weeks with no pay due to the federal shutdown. Many don't have money for gas. Some can't afford child care. Many calling out. The personnel shortage means waits in security lines at times as long as two hours. Have you ever heard of anything that bad? No, this is the first time, even with the previous shutdowns and issues we've had, I have never seen it like this before. Nita Cooper is travel director with Stars and Skies Travel.

Chicago police are still actively searching for the suspect who shot and killed 18-year-old Loyola University freshman Sheridan Gornin on Thursday.
The Chicago police say the shooting appears to be random and they're asking for the public's help in finding the gunman who shot 18-year-old Sheridan Gorman while she was out on a walk with friends early Thursday morning near the campus of Loyola University in Chicago. Police say a masked man emerged from the shadows and fired a single shot towards Gorman's group around 1.30 a.m., striking her in the head. One of Gorman's friends who witnessed the shooting told the Chicago Sun-Times that it didn't seem like they were intentionally targeted, and that, quote, it seemed like he was there for a reason, and we were just in the wrong place, wrong time, I'm guessing, because there was not another shot after that.
