This happened around 9.30 at the American Fish Company. That's about 40 miles of the South Carolina border. Police say a boat pulled up to the restaurant, fired multiple shots, and took off. But tours on Capitol Hill would stop. National Park services would be impacted. Importantly, many non-essential federal workers end up being furloughed. So things at the IRS slow down. Or like TSA workers, they're expected to show up, but they get paid after a shutdown ends. And this ends up causing delays as staff call out during the shutdown.

This time, though, the big shift is that the Office of Management and Budget has told all department heads to prepare for mass layoffs. It will become tropical storm Imelda and then forecast to become a minimal hurricane by the early part of the week. It's going to take from now until Tuesday to get it due east of Jacksonville. So we're a long way from anything here in South Carolina. But the track comes up, stalls, and then goes right out to sea.

220.451 - 239.346 Mike Seidel

Landfall now is looking less and less likely, but we will still have impacts even though the Carolina coast is not in the cone. You can still have impacts outside of the cone. One of those is rainfall. Flood watches will probably go up and there'll be some flash flooding. Winds may gust to Hurricane Force, 74 miles an hour. This is all going to be ironed out in the coming days.

240.488 - 253.699 Chris DiMeo

That's Fox Weather's Mike Seidel reporting from Folly Beach, South Carolina. The National Hurricane Center has issued a tropical storm watch for the east coast of Florida. I'm Chris DiMeo and this is Fox News.
