What are the impacts of the winter storm across the U.S.?
Catastrophic ice and big snowfalls. I'm Carmen Roberts, Fox News. More than a dozen states are now buried under a foot or more of snow and parts of Massachusetts are bracing for up to two feet by tomorrow. Governor Maura Healey.
We're going to see a potential accumulation of one to three inches per hour. That's a lot of snow. It makes for terrible visibility. So please get off the road.
And sheets of ice are brutal, bitter cold, turning roads into skating rinks, pushing conditions from hazardous to life-threatening. New York's LaGuardia Airport is now closed until further notice, and the storm has knocked out power to more than one million customers.
And it is going to be cold on the backside of the system. This could be a major concern. Eight degrees is the temperature in Little Rock tomorrow, four degrees in Oklahoma City, Dallas, 12 degrees. Truly cold air is settling in across the southern plains, the southeast, and that will take at least several days until we see a real significant warm-up.
Fox weather meteorologist Adam Klotz. A federal judge bars Homeland Security from altering or destroying evidence related to yesterday's fatal shooting in Minneapolis. Witnesses say the victim, Alex Preddy, had a phone, not a gun. Meantime, Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche is criticizing protesters.
They are not peacefully protesting. They are trying to impede and obstruct ICE, and it makes the job that our men and women have to do virtually impossible to do without interactions like that.
Bunch on NBC's Meet the Press. Democrats, including Senator Chris Murphy, say that the second fatal shooting in Minneapolis means that they will not vote for the spending bill, which funds ICE. He tells CNN.
We can't vote to fund this lawless Department of Homeland Security. We cannot fund a Department of Homeland Security that is murdering American citizens, that is traumatizing little boys and girls all across the country in violation of the law.
If the Senate fails to pass a spending bill, government shutdown will start Saturday. America's listening to Fox News.
