We'll get all this done by Tuesday, I'm convinced. We do have to do it by way of a rule process, which will be probably on our own.
Because Democrats are unwilling to help approve the Senate compromise that funds the government through September, except for homeland security. It would only get two weeks as Democrats demand immigration enforcement reform. And that anti-ICE sentiment was prominent in the Grammys on CBS last night. No one is illegal on stolen land. That was Billie Eilish after winning Song of the Year.
Bad Bunny also got cheered, accepting Album of the Year's Grammy, declaring Ice Out were not savages. President Trump called the Grammys the worst and virtually unwatchable. And a Truth Social post that also threatened to sue the host Trevor Noah for a comment that the president visited Epstein Island.

Chapter 2: How did the Grammys address immigration and ICE issues?

A Gwinnett County, Georgia police officer is dead and others injured after they were shot by a suspect in a suburban Atlanta hotel room Sunday morning. Police Chief J.D. McClure says the officers were called to the room after someone told the hotel the credit card was being used fraudulently. Suspect inviting the officers into the room where at some point he produced a handgun and fired at them.
The alleged shooter also shot by one of the officers he's expected to survive. The injured officer said to be in serious but stable condition. Sue Guzman, Fox News.
Social media is on trial in two separate cases. Jury selection continues in California today in a lawsuit accusing YouTube owner Google and Meta, the parent company of Facebook and Instagram, of using technology to make their social media addictive, causing mental health issues for users. Snapchat and TikTok were also sued in the case but settled.
They'll start to pick a jury today in the other trial.
New Mexico's attorney general sued Meta, claiming they failed to adequately protect minors from being exploited on platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp. The state argues Meta's own internal documents reveal company officials have known about the grooming, solicitation, and efforts to traffic children through their platforms.
Meta attorneys have pointed to First Amendment but also liability protections they have, arguing they can't be held responsible for third-party content, though they also argue they've implemented a number of child safety protocols, including restrictions on direct messages to users under 16.
Ahead of jury selection, the judge in the case denied Meta's request to restrict recordings and streamings of the trial. Jessica Rosenthal, Fox News.
