A significant winter storm set to wallop millions from the southern plains to the east coast this weekend. It all begins Friday and continues into Monday. Winter storm watches are now in effect ahead of this massive and potentially crippling winter storm. So Oklahoma down through northern Louisiana. The first alerts are up. We're expecting those to expand across the region. Ice, a big concern across the south, mostly south of the I-40 corridor, but there will also be a swath of significant snow.
