Well, Seth, thank you so much for joining us today. It's really exciting to have you on this podcast and to learn from you. And ever since we met a couple months ago, I've just been excited to have this chance to interview you and ask you all the questions and dive into everything salient and learn about the amazing technology and that you've worked on and really dedicated your life to making a difference in people's lives through. So thank you for the work you're doing and thanks for joining us today.
Thanks for having me. It's a pleasure. I'm really excited to talk with your audience and what we're doing with Selient is Something that excites me and I think could be of a lot of value to your to your listeners.
Yeah. So I you know, I'd love to just hear a little bit about your personal journey. How did you end up in the role that you're in, doing the work that you're doing, like what were the things that kinda led you to do this work?
Yeah, it's a really for me uh interesting reflection because I've had a very unorthodox sort of business career. Some people know what they want to do at a young age and I was on the other end of the spectrum and After I left university, went and worked in private equity for a few years and really gave me a great exposure to not only how the financials and how companies are run, but just the wide spectrum of different companies that are out there. And you think about like the S P 500 or the Russell 5000, these stock exchanges in the US, 5,000 public companies. There's just so many different businesses. There's a business for everything in your home, everything in your car. everything in your world and a lot of these things just seem so ordinary and textiles is such a basic rudimentary product.
I never really thought I would have landed there and After I left private equity I went and worked with a few other startups and started some other businesses and learned um No, kinda cut my teeth on the arch of businesses and and you know the first few didn't work out and then I met the inventor of selling it and was really taken along on the journey in terms of the impact that this technology can have. And I've always had a interest in being as healthy and as fit and active as I can. I'm a lifetime vegetarian. And so diet has always been a integral part of my health routine and obviously sleep and And getting the right amount of exercise. I love sports from a young age and participating and turn you know, turned to mountain climbing and triathlons in my later later years and
Just like being active and and then as part of that journey of trying to understand what are the other things we can do. And I think with with Salient we have something that provides a a benefit without requiring really any kind of change in your routine. And so back in 2002 when I met David Hornick and we launched Salient and we're probably a couple of decades ahead of our time in terms of bringing infrared to the market in this form. But I think now in twenty twenty six, it's you know, really our time is now. And with the biohacking and longevity communities doing, we just see a validation of our science and our space and
