Hi, welcome to Sleep Cove, helping you have a good night's sleep. This episode is a guided meditation for healing and cleansing your mind and spirit while sleeping. Please do not listen to this or any hypnosis track whilst driving or operating heavy machinery.
How do I begin the breathing practice that grounds the meditation?
Make sure you listen to this track in a place where you can safely go to sleep. And let's begin. begin by lying down on your bed or in a safe and comfortable place where you can safely go to sleep or most likely be your bed it could be a comfortable chair or somewhere else where you like to doze off and relax into this place and get comfortable begin bringing your awareness to your breath and closing your eyes take five long deep breaths and feel the energy flow through you don't focus on anything at this stage just breathe breathe deeply in and out in
and out
a red glowing light emanating from your torso in Buddhist philosophy and many other schools of thought this is known as the root energy this can be responsible for all your physical sensations and relates to your sense of security, trust and connection to your body and the earth it is in this place where your feelings of connection and being protected arise it provides a sense of grounding see the red light filling this area as you breathe in and out
slowly in
simply relax into your body and breathe naturally do not force anything just keep your awareness on this energy and the beautiful healing red light swirling inside and around you energizing this area breathe deeply into it five times that's it you're doing great don't worry about any resistance just feel through it now visualize
What is the purpose of visualizing a red glowing light in the root area?
a ball of glowing orange light circling in and around your centre near your stomach and just below your abdomen perform the same routine as you did with the red energy take your time and breathe gently there's no need to rush now move up to your ribs just below your heart and visualize a glowing light filling the space and breathe into it five times make these breaths long and deep and actively see glowing yellow energy emanating from this space stay connected to this light and area of your body and allow yourself to breathe and accept any discomfort tension or thoughts which may arise, now move up into your heart, visualize a beautiful glowing green light over your heart, breathe into it, again do this five times stay focused do not worry about the external world you are safe and protected it is just yourself
and your body allow all feelings and sensations which you wish to arise to arise keep focusing on the green light with your awareness on the yellow, orange and red balls of light still present in your other energy fields or energy centers all of your centers of energy should be glowing now
How does the orange light around the abdomen support healing?
beautifully now, and even if your mind begins to race, it's okay, allow it, because you know you can let go of that tension, any things you may have been thinking of, it shows that your body is trying to heal heal itself your mind is healing itself with tension actively dispelling from all of your muscles and deeper than that dispelling from your cells focus on your breath again take five deep breaths from the energy in your torso in that lower torso with the red light and to your heart, up and back down again on each exhale, and see the red, orange, yellow and green lights emanating gently from your body, feel them Don't overthink, feel. On the final breath, rest the awareness on your heart while making a connection with your mind.
Why focus on a yellow light at the ribs and what does it do?
... Are you receiving any images? Are there any profound thoughts coming into your awareness? Whatever they are, let them be. Breathe into them and be still inside. allow peaceful serene energy to fill your mind now be conscious and aware of your body and the gently resonating lights now bring your awareness to your throat
