Chapter 1: What does the podcast celebrate during Pride Month?
Ready? One, two, three. Patriots, gay-triots, they-triots, black-triots, brown-triots, we love you. It is Pride Month and we celebrate Pride Month here At America's Top DEI Podcasting, we embrace all of the LGBTQ plus movement, all the letters.
We will not capitulate to any right wing framing of any of this and to all of the right wingers, to all of the people specifically, I want to call out all of the people who have gay people in their lives and look at these gay people in their lives and say, I love you. You're important to me. And then you go and trample Trump. What can they do, Pumps? Fuck off. Yep.
You can't tell somebody you love them and then go vote for somebody that will hurt them. Those two things cannot exist. And we need to call it out.
I completely agree.
Chapter 2: How do societal views impact the LGBTQ+ community?
And people do it all day, every day, especially where I live.
They do. And one thing they do in the Bible Belt that pisses me off is they quantify gayness. So like people will say recently, I know of a person that came out and a younger person, Oklahoma based family and came out to a conservative family. And the dad said, well, at least he's not like super flamboyant. That somehow that was less gay.
And there's always this quantifying and bargaining with it. Like, okay, you're gay, but don't go to the pride parade. Like, that'll make you a little bit less gay. That'll make your gayness a little bit more acceptable. Shut the fuck up. Who gives a shit about how gay or how somebody presents? It's just the, the minefield that gay people have to go through in the coming out is ridiculous.
Like I didn't have to go on a ham straight tour to everyone. It's just it's ridiculous. And then when people want to draw boundaries with other people's gayness, I think they can totally fuck off. Like, don't be too femme acting or don't go to the parade. And I'm not going to the parade. Fuck you. Quit making it about you.
No, I completely agree. And it's just, here's an example. So a couple of years ago, a woman that I know I'm acquaintances with that our kids went to the same school, her daughter had recently married a female and I ran into her and I said, I heard your daughter got married. Congratulations. And she goes, you're one of a handful of people that have done that. And I said, here's the deal.
Is she sweet to her and does she love her? And she said yes. And I said, well, then who the fuck cares? I mean, that's genuinely, I want somebody to treat my child well.

Chapter 3: What challenges do LGBTQ+ individuals face in conservative environments?
I want them to love my child. And I don't give a fuck about anything else. Full stop. And I just think that's sad.
No, it's really sad. I had a situation in Oklahoma City where a friend of mine that I knew was married to a man, had two kids, met a woman, fell in love with the woman. They get married. And then somebody I know said, I just feel so bad for those kids. Why do you feel bad for the kids? Well, that their mom and I'm like. Their mom's a million times better off.
The dad was a deadbeat, loser, pill popper, asleep at the wheel. These kids are a million times better off that their mother is who she is. And it's just always these extra hoops that the LGBTQ plus community has to go through with their families, with their peers, with judgment. And I've had it from top to bottom with that. And so Pumps, what have you had it with?
had it with so many things but I'm going to for today's episode what I've had it with is QR codes. And I know we've bitched about QR code menus, but here's what I've had it with. I love a survey, like a political survey in terms of, I want your feedback about everything. I don't want to do all that.
But the new thing that I'm finding is every fuck and where I go, they hand me a receipt, which I don't want, which I hate to be Josh Welch of the deal, but I'm like, have you ever made a charge that your credit card company hasn't put on your card? No.
And
Okay, but the QR code, not only do we want you to take this receipt, we want you to get on the QR code and post your feedback. Shut up. Shut up. I don't want to get on the QR code. I don't want to have to maneuver your receipt like enough of the reviews. And granted, now I hate reviews because I've gotten fucked.
with reading reviews, but I'm just like, does anybody really care what my review of a chain restaurant is? I mean, really do they, I don't think they looked and they said, Oh, Angie Sullivan likes chilies. So now I'll go there. Like that just doesn't exist. So I've had it.
I agree. There's too much extracting from the customer that comes from the corporations. It should just be enough that we bought your product and we paid and that's the end of it. not these corporations. If it's an online thing, you have to go through a pop-up. They want to extract personal information from you. They want you to join the club. You got to give all the information.

Chapter 4: How do personal relationships influence political views on LGBTQ+ issues?
I'll never forget. I went to the OBGYN and I got a pap smear, which is not an experience that you want to relive afterwards. You want to go, thank God I don't have to have another pap smear for another year. I'll be goddamned if I didn't get an email survey regarding my visit to the OBGYN's office. And I thought, this has just gone way too far. Nobody needs to sit around and fill out a survey.
And this goes back to the corporate culture issue. This is a bunch of people around a table figuring out, like, how can we justify this meeting that could be an email? And then nobody at the table says, you know what? Let's just be the corporation that says, come to us, buy our products, and then we leave you the fuck alone.
If a corporation were to be bold enough to do that, I would buy all of their products, even if their products were shitty.
I agree.
I would too, just to support the freedom that they are not making me or asking me to do all that shit.
All right. I've had it with Claude, my AI bot. So my dog Tubby has epilepsy and he developed it over the course of the last several months. He's an 11 year old, very photogenic, very affable, very attractive French bulldog, easily could pass for six or seven despite being 11. Um, and that's not, I, I, so that's just not me saying it. Like when I'm out and about people are like, how old is he?
And I'm like 11. They're like, no way. And I'm like, I know no Botox, no fillers, nothing. He looks six or seven. Right. So. He had a breakthrough seizure, which is a seizure that happens when you're on your meds. The medication is called Keppra. And when this happens, of course, it's terrifying when you see your dog have a seizure.
And so I always get on Claude and I was like, hey, you know, the dog had, it was about like a minute 20 seizure this time, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. And I'd already put the call into the vet and I was waiting for her to call me back. But I needed like someone to talk to about it and some analysis about it.
So basically, Claude gives me this information, breakthrough seizures, as long as it wasn't three minutes long, yak, yak, blah, blah. And then Claude asked me, like, do you have another? Is Tebby an only child? And I was like, no, he has a sister, Cha-Cha. And then Claude responds, make sure you give them both a squeeze for me. What? Yes. He's trying to be impressive. I'm just like...

Chapter 5: What experiences highlight the hypocrisy in allyship?
No, you do not get to squeeze my dogs. And then like, I'm going to sit down and go, oh my God, Tubby and Chow Chow, Claude wants me to give you a squeeze. Regulate AI, regulate it, regulate it, regulate it, regulate it. This is a complete violation of my dog's privacy. It felt rapey from Claude to the Frenchies. I...
And then I see all these celebrities like Demi Moore, I believe it's Reese Witherspoon and others who are talking about, don't fight it. Don't fight AI. It's here. And it's like, no, we need to regulate it. We need to approach this with the utmost caution on the planet because it's wanting me to squeeze my dogs for it. It's insane. It's utterly insane. I'm so mad.
I haven't used Claude since then.
Oh, really? Well, you know, here's the thing with this whole AI thing. You hear how harmful it is because it makes people believe they're in a relationship. And that's the kind of shit that it does. Like if somebody's had a bad day, you know, I'm giving you a hug, whatever. Like there are people that feel so isolated. That's important. And I'll just say this.
I've been like, this AI thing is so fucking dark. When you think about all of the jobs that will be lost, all of the wealth that will be concentrated with the elites, and you know what they care about the people that are displaced? Don't give a fuck. I mean, it really is terrifying to me.
And I think the people that are coming out saying, don't fight AI, embrace it. I think they should be canceled. I think it is so cultish when we have this, AI has to be operated with all of these data centers that are just already taking our climate, which is literally on its last leg. We've withdrawn from the Paris Climate Accords.
We're one of the world's biggest polluters, the United States of America. And we're doing nothing to rein ours in by electing Donald Trump. And then when you get these like Mel Robbins, Demi Moores, who are like, don't fight it, embrace AI. I'm like, are you serious? Tell your audience and tell your listeners, be cautious, be skeptical. If this sounds scary, you're valid in feeling that.
Like it's such a... Everybody's just like with Donald Trump's cult, it's just like this trickle-down cult. And I think it's for somebody who has the wealth that a Demi Moore or a Mel Robbins has to not advise other women to be cautious about AI, to be cautious if you have children in the home with their involvement with AI. It's okay to say it's here. AI is here.
But how do we mitigate it and cautiously tiptoe through this so we can extract the good parts of it and reject the bad parts of it? But this all or nothing, all gas, no brakes with AI, women telling other women to do this. I think Mel Robbins told women this. to upload their bank account shit to AI, just like crazy shit. I mean like crazy, crazy, crazy shit.

Chapter 6: What are the implications of AI on personal relationships?
I would probably be the only thing I would take issue with. He is extremely discernible.
He's affable to me. He is not heterosexual. He is Jennifer sexual. That's right. And that's why I am so close and protective of him. And unlike Mel Robbins and unlike Demi Moore, I've sat down with my dogs and told them, be cautious of AI. Be cautious. Do not just capitulate. AI is here, but you get to have boundaries, dogs. So it's just insane to me how the tech industry...
The same guys who are funding these wars, who are funding fascism, who are funding the dismantling of women's rights, who are funding a fascist regime that has taken away a woman's right to choose, are now buying up these Hollywood actresses, influencers, and podcasters and getting them to do their dirty work. It is so inherently sexist and manipulative and crazy and
You know, you can see how well the public likes AI when you just look at these graduation commencement speeches. And the kids are a lot smarter than these women that are carrying water for the fascists. And that's what they're doing. I mean, to have an audience and not tell people to critically think and look at stuff with discernment and skepticism, it's just it's just cult shit.
And I think the most disappointing thing about Trumpism is. has been to see how many people lack conviction. Yeah. And critical thinking and cruelty. I've been used to the lack of critical thinking and cruelty living in Oklahoma. I knew that there was an electorate of that, you know, that people love to punch down and that people don't critically think. They think the earth is 6,000 years old.
No, all that shit's real. But the lack of conviction from people outside of that world. Like the people who actually have fuck you money in their bank accounts, who have reached success like Mel Robbins and Demi Moore, advising people to just accept AI, embrace it. It's just like, fuck off. You don't get to tell people to do that.
I will say one more indictment for AI for me, which I just, you know, it can be manipulated. And I just remember Gronk saying how handsome and tall and thin Elon Musk was. And I was just like, that is not reality. So that makes me question everything a million times more. If he's going to tell me that Elon Musk has a hot body, then I'm going to immediately know that it's bullshit.
Said he was more athletic than LeBron James.
Yeah.

I think we have some reviews. I've got one review. This is five stars titled Trans Moms Appreciate You. And they write, I live in Denver now, but I'm also from Oklahoma. With so many friends and family still in the MAGA bubble, I don't know what I would do without listening to you two. I have a trans daughter and all the family there
in and from Oklahoma, politely glance down and offer prayers and sympathy when talking to me as if my kid is an ax murderer. I'm often filled with a rage I can't explain, but you ladies help me laugh and fill up with hope that we can build a world that loves and encourages all our kids. Thank you for helping me stay sane and speaking on behalf of my daughter,
as well as all her creative, courageous, amazing friends. Love will outshine hate. Acceptance must overcome ignorance and your voice. Your voices matter so much in these battles for trans superstars and their moms.
It's so important to platform these people and humanize these people. And the struggle for people that live in these conservative Bible Belt states, and you have a gay child or a trans child, is the people that you think should be your supporters are your bullies. And this patronizing, I'll pray for you... I hate that shit. I hate that shit. I think it is so arrogant.
To say, oh, I am so great and I'm as tight as ticks with JC that I will put in a good word for you. It is just so unbelievable because the people who need the praying for, and I don't even believe in all that shit, but a lot of people do, are the people who are judgmental of other people's life. And you don't have to understand trans people. You don't have to like trans people.

Chapter 8: What actions can allies take to support the LGBTQ+ community?
And let's pop this up. Charles Barkley calls out homophobia in sports following the death of retired NBA player Jason Collins. So Collins was the first openly gay athlete to appear in any of the four major North American professional sports leagues. He came out publicly after the 2012-2013 season at a Sports Illustrated article. Then he signed with the Nets.
He passed away after a battle with glibostoma, I'm butchering that, on May 12, 2026 at age 47. And so if you think about the gay community, there are certain things that are true. Conservative people have gay kids. Conservative people have trans kids. This is not some left agenda.
And then when it comes to sports, any statistician would tell you if the general public is gay at a 10% rate, then you can apply that to professional athletes. So there are professional athletes in the NBA that are gay right now. And a lot of people could just slink away from this. especially during the MAGA regime. But Charles Barkley said, no fucking way. I'm going to be an ally.
I'm going to stand up for what's right. I'm going to stand up for what's good. I'm going to stand up for what's decent. I don't care what the blowback is. I don't give a fuck because I have to put my head on the pillow at night. And he goes on TV and says this.
13 years ago, it was a big deal. And the reason why it doesn't feel as big now at times is because of people like him. And so, you know, kudos to him. Yeah, but Kenny, in fairness now, if another guy did it, it would still be a big deal because we live in a homophobic society. And that's unfortunate.
That's why, first of all, anybody who thinks we ain't got a bunch of gay players in all sports, they're just stupid. But there is such animosity toward the gay community, and that's what's really unfortunate. But anybody think him, and I know a couple other soccer players that came out, if you think there are not more gay players in the NFL, Major League Baseball, and the NBA, you're just stupid.
I didn't know.
He's 100% right. And this is where, when I talked about the beginning of this episode, how gay people meet their peers, their family, their support groups. And then those people, once they come out to them, want to quantify their gayness. And draw boundaries with their gayness and how gay they can be or how gay they can act or what parades they can go to and what parades they can't go to.
No other world does that exist. So it's like once somebody has the bravery and the authenticity and the courage to go tell who were their original bullies, probably their families, their church members, their friends. Yeah. Then they come back and they quantify their gayness to them. It's really, really gross.
