For a $1.2 million player, I don't think he's exercised the control over a game that you should at that price. That puts him in the elite, doesn't it? 1.2 puts him in the elite. I look at it this way, yeah. It does, Warren. And I look at it this way. He stated when he was still a pennant but had taken the Tigers deal that he wanted to be the chief playmaker.
He was signed on Chief Playmaker money, and it's been shown that he was unable to do the job with the Tigers. Batman, not Robin, he said. Earlier in the week, you mentioned the fact that Ivan Cleary warned people that he wouldn't be that dominant playmaker. Ivan's words were, I'd be wary of paying a million dollars for a player that hasn't shown he can lead a team.

And for Ivan, that's as close to a criticism as you'll get. And I think the Tigers learned the hard way there. There's another part of this question. We don't normally do two parts, but we'll do this one. Are there any other players you can remember who were part of a superstar team but didn't reach the same level after moving to a new club? I'll tell you the guy that immediately comes to mind. It might be a little bit unfair for him. And there's been a few, okay? But Mark McGaw, remember Mark McGaw? He used to play outside Andrew Ettinghausen in the centres. He was a gladiator. Remember that? He went to the gladiators after the TV show. So things did get really bad for him, okay?
