Chapter 1: What is the main topic discussed in this episode?
When I looked at all my subscriptions, I couldn't believe how many I was paying for and not using. Streaming services, apps, memberships, it adds up. That's why I use and recommend Rocket Money. It's a personal finance app that finds and cancels unwanted subscriptions, tracks your spending, and helps lower your bills so you can grow your savings. The best part?
You can cancel subscriptions right inside the app with just a few taps. No awkward phone calls or hunting for passwords. With Rocket Money, all your accounts are in one dashboard. Your checking, savings, loans, and investments are all there, so you can see your entire financial picture at a glance.
It organizes every transaction automatically, sets budgets, sends real-time alerts for big charges, and gives you easy-to-read reports. I keep a close eye on all my finances, and Rocket Money gives me an even smarter view. Let Rocket Money help you reach your financial goals faster. Join at rocketmoney.com slash kim. This is amazing. Right after today's Daily Tech Update, I'm going to play for you a great clip from my nationally syndicated radio show. It's called, I know, The Kim Commando Show. Funny how that works. And hey, if you're not subscribed to it wherever you get your podcasts, what are you doing? You're missing out. You need this intel to live in today's world.
Is General Motors really planning to remove Apple CarPlay and Android Auto from all their new car dashboards? I'm Kim Commando for ExpressVPN. When you're online, you're being tracked. Keep your activity private and secure. Get four extra months free at ExpressVPN.com slash Kim. General Motors, makers of Chevrolet, Buick, and Cadillac, want to take over your dashboard screen.
They will control the data and all that you hear and see, and they'll charge you for using their new in-car subscription service that you're currently getting for free with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. GM's CEO claims their aim is to provide what they call a single integrated system that's safer and, quote, less distracting. Yeah, right.
50% of all new car buyers will not buy a car without CarPlay or Android Auto. So this is one to watch. And if GM is successful, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Ford, and Toyota have let it be known that they'll be close behind. Join almost a million folks who get my five-star rated newsletter every single day. And now, as promised, a clip from my weekend show, The Kim Commando Show. It's pretty much the best radio show in the world, but I may be just a little biased. Sit back and enjoy. Ever heard of the audience effect? It's when we change our behavior when we think we're being watched. Well, online, we're always being watched. Your internet provider tracks everything you do, even in private mode.
That's why I use ExpressVPN. It's the tool I trust to keep my internet connection protected. With one click, it hides everything I do online and sends it through a secure connection so no one can see or track my online activity. Here's the best part. ExpressVPN works across all your devices, your phone, laptop, tablet, even your smart TV.

Chapter 2: What does General Motors plan for your car dashboard?
That's a lot of vanilla.
OpenAI says that everybody's going to ChatGPT and asking medical questions, so they have a great idea. More than 230 million people a week ask the chat health-related questions. That's huge. So now, guess what? So exciting. You can connect all your health data, your medical portals, your wellness apps into ChatGPT. That is exciting for them that they're going to use it and make money off of it.
Oh, they say they're not going to use it to train OpenAI's foundation models. So that sounds okay. They're going to. Do not believe them. I know. After the New York Times lawsuit forcing them to expose 20 million chats. Yeah, there you go. So I would not input any of my medical records. But you said you would connect your email to it. Yes, and I have. Yeah, and I think that's as risky.
Yeah, but it was either that or I had to go through four hours of trying to put together documentation for a lawsuit.
So you go ahead and put all your information on the internet because you saved yourself four hours.

Chapter 3: How will GM's subscription service affect users?
But I don't even use ChatTBT anymore. Oh, yeah, that's right. You're out. I'm done. Suckaroos? Yeah, that's a technical term. You don't hear it. That's like a pro-technical term. So deep. It is.
Chapter 4: What does GM's CEO say about the new integrated system?
