Chapter 1: What nostalgic phone design is Samsung bringing back?
Remember flip phones? Snapping one open in public made you feel like a boss. Well, Samsung just brought the flip phone back, and it's nothing like you remember. I'm Kim Commando for The Current. We pay so much attention to Apple that it's easy to miss something great from Samsung. The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7, a 6.9-inch screen that folds right across the center. Snap it shut, and it's small enough to slip into your pocket. Open it up, full-size phone. It's one of Samsung's new flagship foldables alongside the Galaxy Fold 7. It'll cost you $900 to $1,100, depending on storage.
It's not cheap, but snapping that thing shut after hanging up on a spam call? Oh, that's priceless. Every day, I'm giving away a $250 Amazon gift card to someone who gets my free newsletter. You could win. Enter now at winfromkim.com. And now, as promised, a clip from my weekend show, The Kim Commando Show. It's pretty much the best radio show in the world, but I may be just a little biased.
Chapter 2: What features make the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 stand out?
Sit back and enjoy. He's saying that it kills his music, it ruins his vibe. Justin Bieber. Uh-oh. He's on his iPhone. Right. And wants to only send a text. He keeps hitting that dictation button. You know, the one that's sitting right there in the right-hand corner. Correct. And so he got so mad, he went on social and he said, you know, I'm going to put these Apple employees in a chokehold.
But as we were talking about, it is a problem, isn't it?
It is a problem. It's in the way. But I rather it there because we talked about this in the podcast. Right.
Chapter 3: How much does the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 cost?
And then I went and looked at it. I rather it there than on the opposite side because I do a lot of one finger texting. And if I need it, it's right there. But I get what he's saying.
But I also agree with you. that now you know he's a dad because he's complaining about little things.
He's not talking about the rave he went to last night or all the hotties he got the number. He's complaining about technology. Up next, he's going to tweet about how his printer never works.
Chapter 4: What are the advantages of using a flip phone in today's world?
Oh my gosh, the price of the ink is so much money. You'd think it was liquid gold already. I don't think he talks like that.
I don't think so either.
Okay. So this morning I got frustrated once more driving to work talking to Siri. Yeah, you're not a fan. No, because what happens is it teases you. Like you say, Siri, call Andrew. Those phones are just being active. Sorry. It's all right. And then it lights up like it's going to do the job. Right. And then it just vomits. I don't have these problems. Oh, it's so annoying.
Well, it's going to get fixed eventually. Apple has copied Google's homework. Starting this year, serial run on Google's Gemini tech. Catching up, they say, to Alexa and ChatGPT. Why though? Apple invested billions in their own AI. Why would they hop to use Google's technology? Because it doesn't work. Oh.
Chapter 5: What frustrations do users have with current smartphone technology?
Rumor is that Apple's paying Google $1 billion plus a year.
A year?
Yes. Yes.
Yes.
What was that? Did you hear that? That was Steve Jobs knocking from the afterlife. Hey, if you love staying tech ahead, then you're going to love, love, love.
