Hello, this is your first episode of Newscast coming from the Edinburgh Fringe 2026, which means we're joined by lots of friends of Newscasts.
Um so nice of them to come and watch us, and very nice of you to listen to what we're doing. But we're gonna do a classic episode of Newscast. We tried that experiment where we got grumpy actors to come on and talk about their shows. It didn't go hugely well. We thought let's just stick to what we're good at, which is talking about the news with our friends who cover the news every day. Uh then there's a bit of an update on the Middle East and then a really interesting story about um a a guy in Ireland who's accused of being a big crime boss, uh and that's a big kind of international crime story in Ireland that has made headlines all around the world.
