Uh it was a tough weekend, you know. I thought uh Friday was it was tight. There wasn't a lot of space. Um, you know, could have went either way. Colin Delia made some timely saves and um you know, getting that getting that second one to extend the lead to to uh to two uh we were thankful for a hard hard fought game and then uh Saturday um you know it's uh playing San

How does the coaching staff evaluate rookie Sam O'Reilly’s development and role?

the Eagle uh the style they play is is always always interesting. I felt like We had a really good first and a really good third. Second period we had a bit of a lull but uh you know, I think we would have liked uh felt like we were the better team there, but You know, you go into overtime and uh you know, that's what happens sometimes.

Yeah, well I saw the I mean Yeah. Yeah. That's that's cut to the chase here. Olivier Rodrigue made a save, threw the puck back in front of him, and there was a miscommunication malfunction at the junction and handed uh San Diego a free goal. So uh you know, that I I guess that happens once in a while, you gotta live with it. Lo we just we had Sam O'Reilly, uh the orders signed him today. You had Sam for the rookie tournament. You were year early in preseason. What did you see out of Sam O'Reilly?

You know, I I saw just a hard nosed throwback uh young man and um you know, I I think uh he got better as uh Penticton went on and I thought he I thought he brought that momentum in into uh into Edmonton. Um so he's a gritty, hard nosed, uh no nonsense, uh loves being around the net the net, uh goes to hard areas. Obviously uh a lot a lot to learn. as far as uh uh being a pro, but um, you know, uh I would say those are the early takes and uh and then a uh a real a real uh blue collar type uh respectful young man. So that was nice to get to know him.

All right, so look, I and I don't mean to put you on the spot here, but it's a personal observation I have, uh and it's working relationships with you. But when we were in Penticton, we saw a lot of the development team out on the ice with you. Like three of the development coaches were with you guys all the time. I asked Sam about it. He said they've already met with him, they've had a developmental plan. This um the others have hired uh under Jeff Jackson and Stan Bowman. They've they've put some resources. There is no salary cap on R and D in research and development. Fair to say it's a a very different process this year than maybe in the past couple of years, is that is that fair?

What new resources are the Condors using for player development and mental performance?

We have uh you know uh mental performance coach, uh uh you know uh uh Cali as far as uh you know uh player development, kind of making sure guys are in the right spots, uh Andreas Carlson coming in working on some hockey IQ with the players, getting a uh getting uh uh uh individual development plan uh long term for them to to work alongside of the coaches. Uh so you know they as you said they were in Penticton on the ice.
