Frank, I appreciate you taking some time to join Oilers Now today. I mean, there's been a ton of stuff going on in the NHL recently, so it's good you could fit us in here.

It's going to be a fun week. Yeah, for sure. I just want to ask you, because I'm a bit younger, but from recent memory, I mean, this is the most league-wide blockbuster moving I've seen this early into the offseason before. What do you think the rush is for front office to make a lot of decisions here?
I don't know if there's a rush. I would say that teams have some flexibility that they haven't had in recent years with cap space and the cap going up pretty dramatically. I'd say for a couple of the moves that we've seen, there have been some others that I think teams would like to get their hands on that they haven't been able to really make transact yet. Like I can't tell you how many managers I've spoken to over the last couple days that are really frustrated with things that they'd like to get done that they can't find willing trade partners. So I'd say that for a couple of the things that we have seen come down and they've been on the bigger end, the bigger scale, that there's so many other teams that appear to be pretty frustrated.
Yeah, 100%. Well, we'll start off by asking you about what's been going on here in Edmonton. Connor Murphy gets 5 by 4.1 and Jason Dickinson getting the same term at 4 million a season. Honestly, from my perspective, it felt like these guys could have gotten more if they went to the open market. I mean, just what's your take on those signings?
Honestly, I think... That was market price and total dollars. Like, could they have gotten higher AAVs and potentially taken less term? Yes. I think the Murphy one makes a bit more sense to me than the Jason Dickinson one. With Murphy, steady defenseman, that number is never going to hurt you. He plays within himself. He's reliable. And he never really tries to get outside of the player that he is. Like, he understands fully what his game is. Dickinson, I have a bit more concern with that term. I think that term is going to end up being pretty damaging.
