He's been on a few orders now, road trips, and I know he's got a good relationship with one of my two broadcast partners, Jack Michaels, as well. And we are pleased to be joined by the new owner, minority owner of the Seattle Seahawks, Jesse Vanderwerth. Jesse, how you doing? Good. How you doing, Bob? Good. What was it like last night for you to be in the stadium? You know, great fans. What do I call them? The 12th man in that building. And you're part of the ownership team now for the Seattle Seahawks.

Yeah, it was a pretty surreal moment. So a extremely packed day starting at, we had our morning press conference there with the new majority owners, the Coastal family, who are a great family. Big turnout for that. They put on a great show. Luke Bryan played outside at 2.30 and then into the stadium. And, yeah, I was just, I mean, returning Super Bowl champions. Obviously, the transition from the Allen family over to the Coastal group and our minority group now with, ironically, another 12 in there. So staying true with the 12s and... Yeah, I mean, it was pretty electric in there from lowering the banner for the championship and raising the flag. And you know how down in America, the NFL is part of their culture, so it was pretty cool.

Yeah. As you know, in the Southeast, it's NCAA college football because they don't have a lot of NFL teams down there. But in the majority of the states, it is all about the NFL. I guess the obvious question, and we've sort of watched the evolution and growth, Jesse, in your career. I don't think people realize this, but usually when you're talking about people that end up becoming part owners or owners of teams, they're often in their 50s and their 60s. You're in your early 40s. How did you get connected with the family that ultimately purchased? How did you get involved with the Seahawks ownership?

Yeah, so it's been a dream of mine since everybody, when they're a little kid, you know, you want to be part of a sports franchise. NHL and NFL obviously being the main sports that I watched and followed my whole life. Loved sports in general and followed a number of them. Golf, you know, another big passion for. uh through through different groups that i had mentioned that to at different stages i i was connected with uh with a family that had a direct connection to getting into uh the nfl bidding process and how it worked and initially a couple years ago i was part when coast was actually we're looking at the 49ers we had an opportunity to possibly look at that And then kind of had my name in the hat.

And it was kind of late May, early June that I was contacted by the group that was running the process for the Allen families, ironically called Allen and Company through another gentleman at another sports group. And they kind of linked me up and I had a few calls with them. got along really well with the family right out of the gates and they kind of brought me along for the ride i've been extremely fortunate it's been a very cool opportunity and experience again i mean nfl is a very sacred brand so we're just very fortunate to get to be a part of it and and a great team and a great brand and hopeful you know as uh as a canadian owner that this is kind of canada's team going forward
