The presentation of Carla Ward as the new Republic of Ireland women's manager was overshadowed by yet another controversy today. Eileen Gleeson's assistant Colin Healy accused the association of a lack of transparency and compassion, as well as "a total disregard" towards his welfare as an employee of the FAI. At Ward's unveiling, the FAI's CEO David Courell and Chief Football Officer Marc Canham faced intense scrutiny from the media regarding the timeline and the manner of Healy's departure.
