Uh disappointing, like you said yourself to Chio Dolzega Benet, Heimer Hagramson, etcetera. Uh what are your own thoughts on the game?
Yeah, it's uh it's a strange sort of atmosphere over here, um, even this morning. Um couple of hungover heads as well getting on this flight back to through back to Zurich through Dublin. But yeah, yeah, the game from start to finish, I don't think Ireland turned up at all. Um As Himrell Grimson mentioned in the postmatch, uh we lost the duels and we lost the duels all over the pitch. Um attack, defence, I don't think anything worked. Um and a lot of players had enough there, which is I think unlike uh a Hamburg Hogramson Irish team, um, we played without an identity and uh that's probably the biggest criticism you could uh you could aim at the at the at the players and the and the coaches staff last night.
For sure. Algbeny and Halgramson actually echoed each other about uh mentioning the state of the pitch. And they both, uh kind of surprisingly enough, David said, Well look, it was the same for both sides and they managed to play a bit of ball and uh we didn't. Look from all the way over here, watching it last night, I you know, you get the sense that This is an incredibly downbeat bunch of players and manager as well. And it it felt the intangible of it is that it's beyond the one nil defeat. It's this window at large. I don't know if you got that sense when you're there with them, eyeball to eyeball. Yeah.
You can tell that the the atmosphere, the vibes are very low in camp. All the stuff that's going on off the pitch has had a big effect on the players and the coaching staff. Even I think it's just been a really grueling and taxing week. You know, the questions after the after the the game last night immediately pointed towards the Israel game on Sunday. So it's been a very difficult.
And it's kind of it's just a really grim and sort of depressing old uh international window that's the normally you can look forward to these games, but you could tell it had a real effect on on the players in the pitch last night.
