Today's episode is going to introduce you to four amazing Start Your Private Practice students. Casey Adkins, Laura Shaw, Kelly Dickhart, and Ashton Moulton. All four of these Start Your Private Practice students come from different backgrounds. Some are school SLPs who couldn't wait to get out. We have an adult SLP who struggled to find work during COVID. And wasn't loving the sniffs before that anyway.
We have a travel therapist who sees private clients in person and via telepractice on the side of her travel job. Someone who shares an incredibly personal story of loss and how being in private practice allowed her more time and space to grieve. And someone who's seen kids in daycares. and now has her first one-room clinic and is about to celebrate her first anniversary in private practice. All of these students have the same fears and doubts and hesitations that you do, but they decided to go for it and join the Start Your Private Practice program and create a new future for themselves. all right hello everyone i am so excited to be here tonight with members of our start your start your private practice program so we have four people who have been part of the program some of them range from like you know original members to people who've just been with us for a couple months but i'm so excited to be able to introduce you to these amazing private practitioners who, you know, before they started this journey, they were regular SLPs, just like everyone here. And they probably had a lot of fears and doubts and excitement, and they decided to go for it. And so tonight, they're going to be sharing their stories, and they're also open to answering questions about the program.
