His career, essentially, after 2020, derailed by injury. injuries but the more i look at this it makes a lot of sense in this in this sense first of all i i think it's a flyer like i don't think he's assured i don't think he's a lock to be on the roster uh but at his age you bring in a guy he is now an interior linebacker but as you said thor brian flores loves to have guys rush from a multitude of spots right

In some ways, I liken it, although Jamal Adams is a far bigger name upon arrival. Eric Wilson comes here last year. He's an off-ball linebacker, but we're all thinking, okay, he's going to play special teams primarily. Ivan Pace doesn't play as well as the Vikings had hoped, so Wilson plays more. The thing about Jamal or about Wilson is these guys can be used from, yes, the interior, but Flores likes to create pressure from everywhere. And so he'll do it from the defensive line, one snap, and then you might be on the edge the next, and then you might be lined up at interior linebacker the next. And so I think what they're saying is, one is, I do think they're going to sign a veteran rush end at some point in time, but these are ways to get guys who can create pressure without, you know, with a guy who is more, if you just say, oh, he's an interior linebacker, you're thinking, does that guy bring pressure? The answer with Jamal is yes, he does. So I like this. I don't think it's a sure bet to work.
I don't think he's a sure bet to make the team out of training camp. The only thing I will throw in is, and the first press conference is today, which is Tuesday. The veterans reported today. The first practice is tomorrow is it comes so late that I wonder if it's for another reason of like somebody, something's going on. Like sometimes they make teams make these late moves because you could assign them. Two weeks ago. So sometimes, Thor, teams make moves, and it's like, interesting. I wonder why. And then you get to training camp practice, and somebody's not practicing or something, or a guy's on a puplet. So I'll throw that out there. But on the surface, I like it because it's a flyer, and it's a good one to take when your DC is Brian Flores.
Yeah. So what is Jamal Adams not anymore? He's not the all pro pro bowl safety that he was early in his career. We can get that out of the way.
