Judd stuck at Quick Trip. I was there yesterday. Doing your social content. Post-practice.
Dex (Producer Dex) 0:56
This is true. I don't like being late. I loathe being late. Well, we're always a few minutes late here. But this is a little different. It's 9-ish. I'm saying in life, if a party... I am that guy. If it starts at 5, I'm kind of there near 5. Really? Yes, I am that person.
Phil Mackey 1:15
Lurking at 4.58 outside. Yeah, I'm that guy. That's why you tell Declan the party starts about 45 minutes after. Yep, do that.
Dex (Producer Dex) 1:22
That's a good idea, not being... Even joking. The ponies are there. And horsies.
Phil Mackey 1:28
Then I won't be going.
Judd Zulgad 1:29
That solves your problem.
Phil Mackey 1:32
What did you learn at Quick Trip before we get to... So we have three periods today. It'll be period one, Judd's Camp Notes. Period two, Feedback Friday. Period three, Snake Drought. What did you learn at Quick Trip yesterday?
Judd Zulgad 1:41
Well, I learned a bunch of things. First of all, I learned that when you walk in a Quick Trip, you know what? Convenience is the name of the game. It's like a grocery store because it's big enough, but what it is is it's a convenience store. If I had needed gasoline, I didn't, but I could have filled up too because of the quality gas guarantee. And I also learned that you can be a winner at Quick Trip by playing their Mountain Dew Quick Climb and getting some cash this summer. Now through August 16th, play free every day in the Quick Rewards app. Daily cash prizes. Climbing to a... $250,000 payday at the very top. Buy select Pepsi-Cola beverages to earn bonus plays. Full rules at QuickTrip.com slash sweepstakes.
Judd Zulgad 2:19
QuickTrip.com slash sweepstakes. And a special shout-out to the Quick Trip in Egan, which always delivers post-practice for the sports dad. Yes. And Phil, too.
Phil Mackey 2:31
Well, let's waste no time and get into day two Judd's camp notes from Vikings practice yesterday. 10 periods. I think they're going to ramp up at some point to more like 12, 13, 14 periods. We're easing into practice.
Judd Zulgad 2:46
Yeah, we are in the four practice acclimation period. Is that what they're calling it? Yeah, it's a league thing. They call it the acclimation period. And so that's going to go through Saturday. They're off Sunday. And then they're going to come back on Monday in full pads with a vengeance. Then we go for it all. I bet that's at least 12 periods on Monday. Yeah, and we're going to be stretching it to... We went from nine periods with two hydration periods on Wednesday to ten periods with two hydration periods. So it was eight on Thursday. It's raining today. I'm guessing we're indoors.
Phil Mackey 3:21
So it's going to be kind of a buzzkill today. Although last time it was indoors last year is when I famously somehow caught the pass from J.J. McCarthy. Just stuck right in the... under the cradle of my arm. So maybe you'll catch a pass today.
Dex (Producer Dex) 3:37
That would have bounced off my chest so bleeping hard if that happened to me. It would not have been as cool. It would have been a whole embarrassing thing. It would have not gone over well. Bloody nose, sprang everywhere.
Phil Mackey 3:48
I mean, it's on the table. I don't know if you would have run that back a hundred times. I'd probably catch that pass four times, maybe. It just happened to land on the roulette reel. You should have caught it nonchalantly. Played it off real cool.
Judd Zulgad 4:08
All right. So let's start where everybody wants to start. That is because we've got plenty of stuff between Phil and I who is out there for a second consecutive day as well.
