Uh he says, I just had a quick thought I wanted to share with you guys. Since the Vikings brought in Nolan Teasley, I thought about a particular trade that the Seattle Seahawks made a few years back, the DK Metcalf trade. Do you think Nolan Teasley is with the Vikings um and now that uh he's in the GM role, he could trade Justin Jefferson similarly to how they did uh with DK Metcalf or a huge haul and then make Jordan Addison the new wide receiver one, similarly like how the Seahawks uh promoted JSN. And we know how that worked out with Jackson Smith and Jigba. So, Thor, your thoughts on Nolan Teasley potentially doing a DK Metcalf two point oh Oh in Minnesota, but this time with Justin Jefferson.
I think in general, we know that Nolan Teasy will be aggressive with trades and he uh the the value point that he puts on a player, he'll make trades uh Seattle made trades over the years that were wildly unpopular in the moment, but uh they were comfortable with the value that they were getting and they ended up getting vindicated on the other side of most of them. As for the DK Metcalf trade in particular, I think the analogue to that wouldn't be Jefferson, I would think that would be Addison, right? Um and Metcalf was at the time that that trade happened, he was heading towards a big extension, which is one of the factors obviously that that ended up leading to that trade. But uh that it was uh the the Seahawks traded Metcalf for a second round pick.
This was in 2025. There was also that that was the primarily the deal. There was also a lay eight round pick swap that was in that. But Metcalf then signed a four year hundred thirty two million dollar extension with the Steelers. You go one off season from now, uh a year into the future, Jordan Addison will be heading into the last year of his rookie deal. The Vikings have already picked up that fifth year option. I I think that would be the one that would be uh more kind of analogous to that. Uh but That that's just gonna come down to the the dynamics of the the salary cap and where they're at with Addison after Nolan Seasley gets one year of exposure on him.
