Yeah, absolutely. Believe it or not, huge surprise. The listeners delivered again with uh some incredible mailbag questions. First one we'll start the day off though, comes from Gerald Casey. They say question for asked Thor. Anything, do you feel like the Vikings have already burnt the JJ McCarthy Bridge by bringing in Kyler Murray? In other words, is the JJ camp already thinking about moving on from the uh from the Vikings at their first opportunity? And Thor, I think this is gonna be broken up into two spots because with that quarterback battle. If he wins it, is there still a little bit of that disgruntled feeling? Or B, if he loses it, is there the first door he sees out of Minnesota that him and his camp are looking to take it?
There's there's been a lot of speculation on that. From everything that we've heard publicly from McCarthy and everything I've heard uh uh privately, I have never heard that one time that he wants out. In fact, it has been emphatic the other way. He wants to be here. You think through the situation again, the the speculation, that's where some of that stuff came from. It never came from McCarthy nor his camp. Uh from I've never heard that one time. So I I every indication that we've gotten is that JJ McCarthy wants to be the quarterback of the Minnesota Vikings. Um, and and we'll just see uh how it plays out here with the competition. It you know, if he loses that, would that change his mind? That that I'm not sure of, but I have never gotten any indication whatsoever that JJ McCarthy wants out of Minneapolis.
All right. Um Let's see here. Carter Espinoza. And I know Carter's emailed in before and he doesn't do it the most often as some other people, but when he does, it's always like well thought out crush questions. This one l c it's a it was a paragraph or two, so bear with me as I get through it. But Carter says, I just wanted to say I don't think you guys are talking enough about the asset management. With all this trade talk about JJ McCarthy, no one is talking about how absolutely ridiculous it would be to move on from him after 10 starts. There's been far worse quarterbacks that have gotten a lot less uh that have shown a lot less potential, but get much more runway. I think KOC is part of the problem with asset management.
I think he's a really good leader and coach, but he needs to have someone to be able to put him in check. Quasey gets blamed for the Daniil Hunter fumble a few years ago, a lot of the draft misses, the Thielen trade overpay, and he will likely uh more than likely be blamed for the JJ McCarthy pick, which is absolutely ridiculous. Thor has coined Quasey a bean counter, which I agree with. Uh he was n not the final decision maker on a on a lot of these moves and I think KOC deserves more blame than he's getting.
