Hello and welcome to Thor Talks Purple. On today's War Room Wednesday edition of the show, we will be diving deep into Brendan Soresby, uh, who we talked a little bit about on the show yesterday. Uh yesterday, later on in the day at night, I went through all Brendan Sorsby's uh tape that I hadn't gotten to in 2025. So we have now watched uh all of his snaps there. I have my full in-depth thoughts uh on Brendan Sorsby full scout. Report. And also on this show, we will be talking about the Vikings four new front office hires, including the two that came through. Yesterday. You ready for this, AJ? Absolutely.
I know we we sort of touched the uh we we took a spoonful of the Sunday. That is Brendan Sorceby yesterday, but I'm looking to get into just exactly what makes uh it tick in the full analysis that uh you were able to kind of disperse with the with the tape watching yesterday.
Yeah, mention uh Brennan Soresby, six foot three, two hundred thirty-eight pounds. He's a big athletic kid, uh ninety-six percentile on field athlete. He last year Soresby led the Big Twelve in passing efficiency, and yards per completion. And if you took away the sack yardage, he would have been eleven yards short of Cincinnati's rushing leader, the their RB one guy, whatever. Uh the the number one thing that jumps out about Soresby's tape. Is he is a really good runner. Uh he's a really tough kid, uh gritty runner. They did uh so Cincinnati has this shotgun-centric RPO-based kind of offense, and they make great use of of Soresby's legs. Uh a bunch of design concepts there. In particular when they got short yardage around the goal line, you would see Soresby run a bunch.
He will lower his shoulder and try to put it through your face mask. I mean th th this kid is he is looking for contact there. That's something that he is gonna have to watch out for in the NFL. He took a lot of hits in college and as the two hundred forty pounder who's barreling downhill often was dishing out as much or more punishment than he was taking. That equation, Brendan, is going to flip for you at the next level. You are going to have to protect yourself if the running is as big a part of the game at the NFL level. as it was in college. And this AJ is gonna get us into uh a couple um concerning aspects of Soresby's on field uh profile where I I think the he's gonna have to continue using the legs at the NFL level, at least initially, um, to to do to give him value because of uh some foibles, I guess you would say, that I I found in his in pocket game.
