I'm doing great. And Thor, can you imagine? That the listeners and the audience once again Twentieth straight week in a row that we've been doing asked Thorny things or something like that. Uh, they didn't disappoint again. Spoiler alert. Mailbag, totally full, a lot of great questions. And we got some Nolan T Nolan Teasley talk here to start. First one's coming to us from uh Brighton Jorgerson, eight four five seven. He says, question for Thor. Do you think Nolan being the new GM increases the odds of drafting a quarterback in the rich class of twenty twenty-seven? Personally, I don't believe Kyler will play enough to uh to where they'd want to give him a bag with questions about JJ's potential still being out there because of the small sample size.
It feels like something where Nolan might really like a quarterback in the draft and want to bring them in to compete with JJ next year, or just hit the reset button on the QB room altogether. Uh hopefully JJ can make it difficult uh make it a difficult choice though for Teasley.
This is gonna sound like a cop cop answer, but I I think all options are on the table and I I don't think we've, you know, gotten even close to where he's gonna start getting into that decision 'cause you have this full season to get through. I and you know, he he talked about in the uh presser yesterday. Uh now I have to get in and and uh a deep understanding of the roster. He's clearly gonna be getting in the film room and and stuff like this, but then you have the full season to play out and I I think like, you know, if if the question was, well, if if if the quarterback situation goes south uh this fall, uh, you know, th certainly that would increase the odds of a drafting of one. But the thing I'll say about Teasley and that um folks should keep in mind with regards to this, and this goes for any position, but we'll the questions about the quarterback position.
Teasley, while he was in Seattle, he presided over or not presided over, he was involved with uh uh two trades of quarterbacks that were wildly unpopular in Seattle at the time and both of them turned out like aces. The first one uh trading Russell Wilson right before he fell off a cliff to uh Denver and getting all those picks and then uh the most recent one swapping Geno Smith for a third round pick uh in order so that they could go out and sign Sam Darnold. Both those uh uh moves were wildly unpopular in in the moment, uh, but kind of thinking outside the box there, uh, with that position and and taking advantage of opportunities got a lot of evaluation, a lot of football to play till we get there.
Um, and we have a loaded 2027 quarterback class, as everybody knows. So that's absolutely in play. I'm I'm I'm not meaning to say that it isn't, but I think with Teasley, it's all options on the table and we're gonna find our way to what we feel is the best one at that time. Uh, Jim
Bicknell seven two five three says question for Thor, besides really needing a clean house in the scouting department, do you think Teasley will set the tone on spending money wisely in building a deep roster by trading a player or two to capitalize on their value instead of waiting until their contract is up and letting them go for nothing? You know, like we've already literally done.
Shout out Jim. Uh yeah, yes. Jim sort of knows. Yeah, I I I think so. Uh Seattle has been uh uh not aggressive with trades, but they're they're they are discretionary, but th they've done a lot of trades here uh in you know di during this past decade or so. You have high profile ones. Th they also do the sort of augmentation ones as well. Uh recently Seattle traded a seventh round pick for a special teams guy. He's a he's a stud on special teams, but like, you know, it uh not out there much
