Hello and welcome into Thor Talks Purple. It's a Wednesday, and usually it's War Room Wednesday. It's still gonna be War Room Wednesday today, but we're gonna be talking about a different kind of draft, AJ. We're gonna be doing our 2026 Minnesota Vikings fantasy football preview today to kick off some uh fantasy football talk and get in the weeds on the Vikings skill position players. You ready for this one? I can't wait.
I mean, I know the Vikings have gone through a massive overhaul with their front office, but one of my favorite parts of like the football schedule is getting into that preseason fantasy football. Everybody and their mother is able to get in their own war room and draft their dream team of players. And uh I I think we've got a pretty pretty knowledgeable guy uh to shed a little light on some of the Vikings side of fantasy today.
Yeah, we couldn't do this on our own, so we had to bring in a big gun. Let's call up Brian Johnson to the stage. Brian's been doing fantasy content for over a decade, operating fantasy contests for over a decade in the industry. And he is my former fantasy football weekly co-host. Find him on Twitter at BTX J. Absolute absolutely. Yeah. So we're gonna go through all the the Viking skill guys here and talk about the their ADPs, the underdog ADPs, and where Brian and I value those guys against that. So Brian, let's let's just start off at the top uh with the big gun there on the Vikings, uh with Justin Jefferson. A lot of debate in the fantasy community about Jefferson, you know, is is he undervalued? Or is it, you know, some people are like, you know, you'd be wasting a first round pick like you did last year. The ADP on Jefferson right now at underdog, nine point nine. So a late first round pick and the wide receiver six off the board. Where how do you see his value uh against that?
Yeah, Jefferson's uh well he he's interesting for multiple reasons. Right now he he represents the end of the elite wide receiver tier. Essentially it's going Jamar Chase, Puka, JSN, then Amon Ross St. Brown, C D Lamb, Justin Jefferson, but uh J J and C D Lamb are neck and neck and uh really you're kinda If you're if you're not gonna take if you're in the position to take either CeeDee Lamb or Justin Jefferson, if you don't take a wide receiver there, the next wide receiver going off the board is like AJ Brown in the late second round. So you're looking at a huge block of running backs after Jefferson. So If you're in that range and you want an elite wide receiver, in most cases you do, I think you're gonna wanna not reach, but you wanna grab Jefferson or Lamb uh if available, because again, you're gonna be waiting on wide receivers for a long time, or at least an elite one, and it's it's a it's a whole tier down.
But now the the high level discussion for me is is it Justin Jefferson or C D Lamb? Um we could make the case for Jefferson over Amon or St. Brown or JSN. I'm not prepared to do that. yet Thor. I don't know if you are, but um just looking at JJ versus C D at a high level.
