Two or more? That seems like a lot. What are you talking about? Um, let's just say that Johnny Hecker is widely considered the greatest and most prolific punter in the history of the fake punt. Okay? As far as his ability to throw the ball. We're talking about a high school quarterback from the state.

But Johnny Hecker has I believe he entered the the National Football League in two thousand twelve with the then St. Louis Rams. Been around forever. Um Johnny Hecker also. is a guy who Kevin O'Connell knows exactly what he he can do because Kevin O'Connell was the Rams OC under Sean McVeigh in 2020 and 21. Now in those two seasons combined Hecker threw just one pass. But nonetheless, McVeigh used him as a weapon. As a weapon. For his career, most of it spent with the Rams, Johnny Hecker. Passing fifteen of twenty six. 193 yards, a touchdown back in 2012, an interception in 2019, and probably just most impressively, 15 passes.
Now, now I could not find a breakdown. Some of these are fake punts, some of these are fake field goals. But of his fifteen passes Well, we've gone for first downs. So we're talking about a guy that can convert in a big way. Um, he spent three seasons after the Rams with Carolina, one for three for seven yards. Spent last season with the Tennessee Titans, did not throw a pass. We're talking about a guy that can throw out. We're talking about a roll out and throw, excuse me. 2019 NFC Championship game when the pressure was on. You might remember that Johnny Hecker completed a 12-yard pass to cornerback Sam Shields in what was the Rams.
Now they didn't win the Superbowl that year, but that was his only postseason pass, and that was a huge one. In other words, you're sitting on a gold mine here, gentlemen. A gold mine. A man with the golden arm. You think, okay, the Vikings got JJ McCarthy, they've got Kyler Murray, they've got Carson Wentz, they've got Max Brosmer, and I am here to tell you they also have Johnny Hecker.
