Yeah, it it seems like the war came out of the room and was uh at minicamp yesterday, Thor. Um, our guy Jud Zolgad was out there amongst the rest of the media and after uh after the mini cam, mandatory minicamp, first day of that, uh there were some questions about just how the quarterback battle has been going. And there was one quote that stuck out um entirely. Um I I believe this question was from our guy Judd um to Kyler Murray on like the toughest part of adjusting to Minnesota's offense, where Kyler Murray said, quote, having having to split reps, me already being behind, not getting the amount of reps you would typically want a guy to get learning the offense. That's probably the toughest part.
Um As we get set for day two of mandatory minicamp. What's your reaction to that and uh just sort of the the QB battle, I guess, after that first day yesterday?
Yeah, it's probably not like a super p you know, he he got some heat for that on social media. I I th you know, he's also telling the truth, right? And so, you know, in the same way that you you want it to be you want it fair on both sides. Um you know, last week or two weeks ago or whatever with McCarthy, it's like he's telling the truth here. I I don't know what you want from him. So, you know, I'm I'm not gonna uh go nuts about Kyler's comments with that 'cause that's that's just literally true.
How did Kyler Murray describe the toughest part of learning Minnesota’s offense?
Uh ideally for him it would be the full snaps. Um but we have purportedly a competition here and they uh still through yesterday were splitting the reps there. So um if if you're gonna play out the competition fairly That's what you have to do. Um, O'Connell, uh Kevin O'Connell at some point yesterday, his comments to the media said that he has in mind a date or a you know, a time uh frame for when he wants to announce the starter. Of course, he did not specify that date. Um, so is is that does he have some endpoints in August? You know, is is that where it is? Or Does he wanna do it before you get to training camp? As I've said, if it's not a battle in training camp, it's not a battle at all. Right. W but will they take that into training camp?
That that's the thing we're gonna have to see.
