So Craig Council finally got an update and shared it with us regarding Seiya Suzuki's injury that he sustained in the WBC. So did the MRI. He's got a strain of the PCL, part of his knee. Minor in nature. So we're going to treat it right now, kind of see how he progresses kind of through the weekend, and then that will kind of determine... You know, essentially, that'll determine whether an IL stint is necessary. So we're going to give until Saturday to figure that out and then go from there. Ah, yes, the Pacific Coast League strain. No, it's a ligament in the knee. When you said PCL, that was the first thing I thought. But it sounds like perhaps a bullet was dodged, but it still doesn't sound great. It sounds better than what I thought it was.
I'm going to be very honest. I thought we were talking about four to six weeks at minimum when he comes in and he's limping and it's bad. But to hear Seiya himself say it already feels better, even though he's wearing a light brace on it, and the fact that there's a chance – I think it's an outside chance, but we'll see – that he could be on the field for opening day. And if that's the case – Disaster averted in a major way because say as a guy you're depending on to hit 30 bombs and to play every day right field. And if they don't have that, that changes the math. And I don't know if that's algebra or AP calculus we're talking about on how the Cubs are going to put together a lineup every day.
We don't want to see Matthew Shaw and Dylan Carlson going back and forth this early in the season. Don't forget Michael Conforto. Michael Conforto. Chaz McCormick, got to mention. Kevin Alcantara, did he go back down yet? Did they send him down? Not yet. He's sort of the forgotten man. He needs more tuning up, apparently. Yeah, I mean, to hear minor in nature and no shutdown at this point. Quietly, it's good news. But prime to me is later in the season. Well, and like we mentioned, your opening series is against the Nats. Yeah, they're in the National League, but...

The Cincinnati Reds made the playoffs because somebody said that three teams from the National League Central would make the playoffs very early in the season.
