Chapter 1: What is the premise of the movie Trollhunter?

Okay, I was stupid. I don't know who said this is a solid movie, Christian, but they are lying to you, okay? Do I think this movie was absolutely terrible? No. Do I think it was a good movie? No. The CG totally took it out for me. I'll give my final thoughts at the end, but my initial thoughts were like, this was a movie.

Chapter 2: What are the initial reactions to Trollhunter?
Beautiful. I love that he's like, let me just go ahead and step in here. Who lied to you? Yeah, it definitely didn't live up to the hype that had been set for me. But there are worse ways to spend an hour and 45 minutes. Oh, 100%. Do I regret watching it? No. Was I entertained? Yes.
Chapter 3: How does the film's CGI affect the viewing experience?
Is this a good movie? No. Would I ever recommend this to anybody? No.
we made have we am i happy that we made task force watch it or possibly listen to it hell yeah here's the thing i love terrible movies regardless you know what i mean like it didn't mean to be terrible but also it's like it's a movie about hunting trolls how seriously can you take it you know and so that's just kind of where i lied i'm like i had fun it's a terrible movie
Sometimes you just got to sprinkle in the duds, you know, like I always go back to Chopping Mall, which is just quintessential, kitschy, campy, but you're having a good time. Sometimes that's the fun of it. But continuing the analogy, we're all in this car. I say task force, hop in the driver's seat.
But turn off the ignition and pull the e-brake because you're going to want to turn your brain off for this one.
Chapter 4: What makes Trollhunter a fun movie despite its flaws?
That's my take. Because if you're coming at it from looking for a robust... Listen, I watched Marty Supreme. Then I watched 28 Years Later, The Bone Temple. And then I watched Troll Hunter. Okay? I can't recommend the trifecta enough. But when you watch robust storytelling with plots that are interweaving and delicately placed, and then you watch like, why are they doing that?
Why would they do this? Like, you got to turn the logic off and just join the ride and have a good time. I'm with Christian.
Chapter 5: What are the critiques regarding the plot and storytelling in Trollhunter?
I love the sprinkling of what I assume has some truth to it. I don't know a lot of Norwegian folklore. I'm staring at a screen filled with troll dolls right now because that's what I know trolls to be. So I liked a little bit of that lore. I liked a little bit of that newness. But otherwise, if you're looking for plot, it's clunky. It's a little illogical. But it's a fun ride.
I do have to say, I can see how the CG would take you out of it. Yeah.
Chapter 6: How can Trollhunter be enjoyed in a social setting?
They put all their CG budget into the big kaiju at the end. I think that looks as close to good as they're going to get. That looks good. Yeah. But the night vision cave scene, that's where I really started to go, oh boy, oh boy. Even just the night vision, it was clearly just a filter put on in post. That was absolutely not how night vision looks. It was pretty good night vision, you know?
You could see everything.
look you throw you you host a party where everyone's gonna hang out and conversate and uh has no intention of like watching a movie together and you just put troll hunter on the background and just watch the number of people go what is happening you will watch people coalesce around that screen like it's a campfire you know like right and every time a troll pops on yeah they're gonna call us
