David is the current HYROX North American Champion – a title he claimed in Chicago in February 2023 when he won the Elite race in a very strong field. In this chat we talk about his training, his injury which ruined his race in this years’ World Championship, how he trains around his injuries, how he juggles being an elite level athlete with running his own gym and being a parent to a toddler, his sporting background, his running and strength numbers, his mindset, his thoughts on the Elite race qualifying this season, why he once cried when his wife brought him soup, and lots more.
