Mocha! You guys are so funny, man. Congratulations, Lisa!
Wow! You just won $1,000. That is amazing. Y'all just made my entire morning. Keep it up. You
guys are awesome, man. This is the Roz and Mocha Show podcast. So everybody on the show knows this already, but I wanted to just let the audience know that last Friday, my mom died. And it was tough, but she had been sick for God, a while, like a long time, really sick for about six months. And then the last sort of six weeks were just kind of the end. Right. So we had a lot of time to prep for it, but I wanted to let anybody who listens to the show know, because my mom has been on the show many times. She said some incredible appearances on the show. Anybody who's listened to the show, The history of Razamoka, she's all through there. Anybody who read my book, she's all through. I wrote probably more about my mom than anybody else in my book.
And I know that, you know, she's made a lot of people laugh. And I know that she loved being on this show, right? Like my mom loved being on this show. And my mom loved when Maury would call her. to do stuff with her on the show all the time but I and I also know that people always call up and We have so many great stories about our parents when we were growing up that you tell them. And I know that a lot of people have, you know, they have questions about my mom and about how I grew up. And I just don't want somebody to feel that they can't ask those questions. Sure. Right. Because that would be such a disservice to my mom if we if if I didn't do that anymore. Right. Like it was kind of like just, you know, she wouldn't she wouldn't want that.
And so I just wanted to let everybody know. I let sort of people know one at a time. I know I let Maury know because I had to tell Maury because I was just afraid that Maury was going to call her. Yeah. Right? Because you don't know. I didn't know with Maury. So I had to tell Maury because I just thought that Maury was going to call her and then think that she was drunk because she was on so much hydromorphone at the time. Right? I was like, Maury, you can't call her. But... Sort of near the end, my mom wanted to go to hospice. That was sort of her wish, which I'm so glad she did. And she was at a place called Kensington. And I've never in my life met a more dedicated group of people whose only job is to do the hardest job in the world, which is to just be there with families at the end.
And they do that every single day. Right. And they were so wonderful and she was so well taken care of and she felt so loved that that it was the it was the sort of best that it could have been, if that makes sense. Right. So. So, yeah. So I just want to let people know. uh that my mom passed away and please you know don't not talk about her everybody here like if i tell a story about my mom i don't want it to be weird or whatever with anybody in the room or anybody on the show and it's not something that i want to shy away from it's not something that i don't want to talk about and if you have questions you know about you know what it's like to sort of deal with that with a parent because i've gone through it twice
Um, you know, feel free to still ask all those questions. I'm still here to answer cause I know I get them on, on Instagram and in DMS all the time. And I still try and do my best, um, to help people who are, who are going through it. So we're still here doing that. Um, just wanted to let everyone know cause she loved all you guys. Um,
very
much. Can I ask a question? Yes. How are you feeling? Um, the, um, the worst of it happened before she died if that makes sense you know because she was she was sick for a long time that the really really emotional hammer happened before she actually passed away right and those days were very hard like i would leave here i would do the show because i couldn't not do the show i had to do the show
