Good morning everyone, great to have you with us. Wednesday, September the sixteenth, right slap bang in the middle of preliminary final build-up. Shane Crawford's gonna join us in the studio. Connor McDonald from the Hawks is gonna join us. Andrew Russell for Wellness Wednesday, all the footy news, questions that notice, as always. As I say good morning to Wisp, I've just got the first temper text rolled in for the morning. O four double three ninety eight eleven sixteen. One three hundred seven three six seven three six. You can call through. Well actually it was the second one. The first one that came through was Wordle is a must today. Have you done it?
I've tried to do I just started I saw those text messages come through uh good morning everybody. I saw those text messages come through and I've just opened it up to start it.
Get on that. But this is the one that's caught our eye. Good morning, Gary and Tim. I've just finished work I think. I wouldn't believe you wouldn't believe who I heard at two AM this morning two AM this morning calling into three AW none other than the legend himself from Epping talking about his first ever TV. J Johnny from Epping is moonlighting on three AW at two AM in the morning.
Is that right? Is that right? He must have had he must have uh he must have had something on his mind to be getting up at that time of the morning to send uh all to um ring into a radio station.
No, he's jumped on thinking that na he he'd be able to get away with it because no one will be listening and we won't hear about it. We've heard about it straight away.
What happened at the AFMA awards last night?
He's moonlighting on another station. This'll go straight to the top. This will the integrity unit'll get this. They'll start talking about this and uh give a hutchie another whack.
Yeah, probably. Probably. Uh I have got uh for all those people sending in uh the wordle, uh I have got it. And we don't want to discuss it over the radio because we don't want to spoil it for anyone else, but that is very funny. Yeah. Thank you. How are you going? Very
how's your day been?
Uh so far it's been a great day. No, it's been a great day. We had the dogs out for a little day twinkle this morning. Um Gee, it was cold here yesterday. We had a uh we had the hail came through it.
Did you have hail in Melbourne just a while? I was off having a little stroll around uh eleven thirty twelve and it went from a beautiful sunny, sort of warmy spring day to icy cold in the space of about ten minutes. I could see it coming in over the city.
By the time I got down here yesterday, drove back down here, it takes about an hour and a quarter. I think uh the temperature had dropped by the time I got out of the car, the temperature had dropped down to nine degrees. Nine degrees, Gary, that's winter. Glad you didn't call it though. You went very close to calling it. You went very close to calling it.
But no, it wasn't. People were pressuring me to call it. But th they they're inexperienced. There's still plenty of uh variation in our weather pattern before we start suggesting that you put away your winter woolies.
Uh yeah. Hey, there's a lot to talk about uh this morning. A lot of footy stuff. A lot of interesting sort of backgroundy sort of stuff to talk about.
You've been working hard in the uh on the days that you've left us. You leave here at nine, you did the podcast, you did the rabbit hole podcast, and then you dived into your contact book and you just started making calls left, right, and center. And I know that last night's Footy Award, Media Awards were handed out and Jay Z. Clark won the big one, the Elf Brown. Well done. Well done to him. But uh I tell you what, the wisps coming The rush with some of his stuff.
Uh and congratulations to uh Crunchtime, they won the award. Uh Kingy and uh Korn, uh they got uh a Fireball their show. Fireball won the Lou Richards, which is an award for former players about analysis and entertainment. So congratulations to them, they do an unbelievable job.
