Oh Wisp, I'm sure it's been a very different week at your old club this week. At the hangar specifically after Essendon broke through for a memorable win against GWS on Sunday. The Bombers second win of the year. Only the second in 31 odd games and the captain is with us, Andy McGrath. Morning Andy, great to have you with us.

Yeah, it's been an exciting few days to be honest.
How did Essendon’s win against GWS change the mood at the club?
I think when you go a fair period of time without seeking the result that you're striving for every week, it can be long, it can be an arduous process to keep going back to the well and keep working really hard Monday to Friday so to get a little bit of Reward for our effort was really pleasing. I think the whole footy club, both inside and out with our fans as well, felt the importance of that win.
Andy, it would have been the first time for some of those young players to sing the club song. Were they singing See the Bombers Fly Up or did you notice that they might have been singing Rhubarb, Rhubarb or something that was on their lips but not quite right?
No, I think everyone knew the words. A few of those younger boys were overly excited and I think a couple of them did a lap of honour to finish the game, which was brilliant. which was unique and something that Sam Prager probably left at the footy club. He loved doing that one. But now to see the joy on their faces, Tim, it's something that's unmatched in footy. And I guess being around a little bit longer and knowing how hard it is to win football games, to see them smile and to see sort of the joy on their faces post-game, and especially the occasion, seeing the song with those little kids as well, it was just a really beautiful moment for the footy club.
No, there were great scenes in the rooms post the game. The whole club was celebrating, as they should given the lack of wins this season and even at the back end of last year too, how bleak it was. But I was actually – when I was watching the game and I was thinking about – And I don't know whether or not this was a concentration on the team. It may have just been a natural thing. But I couldn't help but notice how enthusiastic the young players out there were and the celebration for all the little small things that were taking place. How often they demonstrated that. And it seemed to me to be a really authentic thing.
Yeah, it was definitely a focus heading into the game. We... We know that the game is full of moments and full of moments that are bigger than the scoreboard in our eyes. I think when you are going through a really tough trot like we have been, you can get really caught up on the scoreboard and how that's looking. For the last few weeks, it probably came to life on the weekend more than ever, but we're really trying to highlight the intangibles and the things that really make a difference. out there, and they're the small moments, they're the tackles, they're the pressure, they're contest work, all the things that you saw our guys celebrating, sometimes over the top, but the things that bring you energy from within and then in turn sort of reflect on a scoreboard later on, but yeah, it was a really pleasing thing to watch from behind the ball, seeing the celebration and seeing the pressure the guys are putting on the ball, and yeah, it made our job behind it very easy.
And Andy, can you take us just a little bit, if you don't mind, behind the scenes after the win? Like Dean Solomon, it's a difficult path to navigate as a caretaker coach, but he touched on in his press conference about an all-of-club thanks and appreciation. Can you just tell us about his message after the win?
