Chapter 1: What is the main topic discussed in this episode?
Well, my friends, welcome back to Spot on with Link. Lauren, we have to start with a family feud, okay? This is all over the internet, okay? It's absolutely ridiculous, but what else are we going to discuss? Okay, we're going to get into some politics later.
Chapter 2: What is the ongoing conflict between Brooklyn Beckham and his parents?
We're going to get into the first year of the Trump administration, but we have to talk about Brooklyn Beckham. So many women have messaged me saying, what do you think about Brooklyn Beckham, Victoria Beckham, David Beckham, this entire feud that's going on? I don't really think it's a feud, but let me give you some of the details.
and then i will give you my take okay let me break it down slowly okay so brooklyn beckham did a long post on his instagram okay he did one of those things where you do a long post and he says he doesn't want to reconcile with his family i'm not being controlled i'm standing up for myself for the first time in my life my entire life my parents have controlled narratives in the press about our family
He then goes on to say the truth always comes out and says that his mother and father have been trying endlessly to ruin his relationship with his wife, Nicola Peltz. It hasn't stopped. My mom canceled making Nicola's dress in the 11th hour, despite how excited she was to wear her design, forcing her urgently to find a new dress.
David and Victoria Beckham allegedly repeatedly assured and attempted to bribe Brooklyn into signing away the rights to his name before the wedding. And then the most egregious claim, the most egregious claim is that Brooklyn Beckham says that his mom, Victoria, also known as Posh Spice, She came and ruined his first dance at his wedding.
Apparently, she jumped in and decided to make herself the star of the show at his wedding, which I do think is wrong. But let me tell you why I'm kind of on team Victoria Beckham and David Beckham. Okay. Number one, kids can sometimes read situations wrong, okay? Brooklyn Beckham, he's a nepo baby. He's a spoiled little bitch brat at this point. Everything has been handed to him in his life.

Chapter 3: What claims did Brooklyn Beckham make about his wedding and family dynamics?
I'm not saying he's not a nice guy, but he went from rich parents to rich wife. He has all these fancy watches his parents have given him. I mean, this is not someone, who has really ever worked or had to struggle. And so when he says that his parents have controlled his life, it's like, well, everything you have is because of your parents, Brooklyn Beckham.
And so I don't really feel sorry for you. I think if your mom tried to upstage your wedding, that's a conversation you guys could have had privately. You could have called her and said, mom, what you did was so wrong and mortifying and humiliating. But I don't know why Brooklyn Beckham decided not to do that. And he decided to take to social media. I'll also say this.
Having a mom like Victoria Beckham is probably iconic, okay? Be glad that your parents are ultra rich and wealthy, right? Like, your parents are Victoria and David Beckham. You never had to worry about working. And now you're complaining like you've really been aggrieved, right? I think this is just another Prince Harry and Meghan Markle situation.
I really see this akin to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. Like... Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, they had it made in the shade. Okay, they're part of this royal, rich, famous family. All they had to do was stay over there eating crumpets and scones. Then it wasn't good enough for them, right?
So Brooklyn Beckham and his wife really remind me of Harry and Meghan, the way they're saying that our family didn't understand us. They tried to ruin everything for us. But then why not admit, okay? that your last name and your family is why you're here, right? It's a double-edged sword, right? Your family is the reason we know you exist.
There's a reason you have millions of dollars, but yet you want to turn around and say that you don't like them or that your mom tried to upstage your wedding. Deal with that on a personal level, okay? Call your mom up. Talk to your mom. I don't think anything has happened that can't be reconciled or fixed. But I just worry this Brooklyn Beckham situation is another Harry and Meghan 2.0.
And I actually heard from some sources they've allegedly gotten close, that they know each other, that they've hung out. So if you're hanging out with Harry and Meghan, if you're taking pointers from Harry and Meghan, that's pretty concerning. I do think David Beckham and Victoria will sit down with Brooklyn and sort of fix this situation, okay?
Because this doesn't need to continue playing out in the public eye, but it just seems like a rich nepo baby who's never had to work, who's never had to do anything in his life, who's never had to struggle, is upset because, I guess, his parents tried to control the narrative. What does that even mean? Okay, your parents try to control the narrative. So I'm really team nobody in this situation.
I guess if I had to choose, I'd be team Victoria and David because I don't love that the child has taken their differences to social media. Now, speaking of taking things to the public, Prince Harry, right before we got on here, we also found out he's on the stand today in London. He's in court. I feel like every time we come on here, Prince Harry's in court.

Chapter 4: How does Link Lauren compare the Beckham feud to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's situation?
It's officially been one year of the Trump administration. Let me tell you guys, this past year, it's gone by in an instant. It's also felt like a lifetime. So much has happened. I mean, it feels like the inauguration was yesterday.
I mean, we still have three years left, but it feels like the inauguration was yesterday because President Trump is going to do more in a year than anybody else is going to do in like eight years. Okay, so President Trump did more in the first month than any other president has probably done in their entire term.
So I want to go through some of the highlights and tell you guys some of my favorite moments from the past year. And I have to start off I have to start off, you guys. My favorite moment, okay, right at the beginning of 2025 was when President Trump signed the executive order banning men from women's sports. And I've talked about it all the time. I think it's going to go down in history.
We don't talk about it enough, okay? Protecting women. He signed the order. He was surrounded by young women, athletes, all different walks of life. That is what we need to see, okay? Protecting women. Kamala Harris, Hillary Clinton, the left, they talked about protecting women forever. They said, we're going to defend women and we love women's rights and female empowerment.
They wouldn't even get men out of women's sports. President Trump came in and said, you know what, I'm going to do something about it and I'm going to do something like in the first month. Okay. In the first month or two. And so let me read you a little bit about exactly what it was. So it was February 5th. It was an executive order titled keeping men out of women's sports. Very simple.
And I also want to play you guys a clip of Riley Gaines discussing this.
What we saw today is in total contrast with the treatment that we as women have received for the past four years. Me personally, fighting for this issue the past three years. So I'm just overwhelmed, of course, with excitement. I'm overwhelmed with gratitude. I have to kind of pinch myself that this is something that is necessary we have to do.
that a president has to take time out of his busy schedule to sign an executive order saying that men cannot compete in women's sports. I imagine, I just think of our founding fathers and what they would think witnessing today's culture. But nonetheless, it is a big win. It is certainly a win we're celebrating, but we're not done.
I love that. I love Riley Gaines. I love that we can try to put this issue behind us. For some reason, the left is still fighting us on this, right? For some reason, the Democrats, they still want to fight to keep men and women's sports. Gavin Newsom, Kamala Harris beat Buttigieg. It'll be interesting to see, can a Democrat in 2028, okay,

Chapter 5: Why is Prince Harry currently in court, and what are the implications?
That was also an incredible day. I always tell my young people, okay, you might think you're in love. You might think he's the guy for you. Don't send him naked pictures, okay? You might think you love this guy and you're going to be together forever and you're going to trust him, but just be very careful, okay?
firstly melania trump the fact that she's tackling this issue shows us she understands the 21st century and the issues that young people are facing right with revenge porn with ai with non-consensual imagery on the internet and so i tell young people take those precautions but if you do make a mistake
If someone uses your image in a wrong way, in a non-consensual way, in an illegal way, we have the Take It Down Act now. And so former First Ladies, they might plant a garden. You know, they might go read to kids. And First Lady Melania Trump does that as well. But she's tackling these huge major issues. And I'm so happy about this.
And I want to play you guys a clip of President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump discussing the Take It Down Act.
With the rise of AI image generation, countless women have been harassed with deepfakes and other explicit images distributed against their will. This is the wrong, and it's just so horribly wrong. And it's a very abusive situation, like in some cases people have never seen before. And today we're making it totally illegal.
This legislation is a powerful step forward in our efforts to ensure that every American, especially young people, can feel better protected from their image or identity being abused through non-consensual intimate imagery of INCII.
Love that. I'm so grateful to First Lady Melania Trump and the White House for championing this issue because it's not a sexy issue. It's not an easy issue for a First Lady to tackle, but it's one that's so important, right? And she cares so much about young people. She has a young son. She loves her family. She loves the kids in this country. I've seen it firsthand a million times.
And so the fact that First Lady Melania Trump did the Take It Down Act this year with her team, something for the history books, iconic for the history books. There are young people who maybe didn't even vote for President Trump who might benefit from this act Sunday. And I want to move on to something else, okay?
A more lighthearted, fun moment from the past year was when First Lady Melania Trump went to the UK and she was reunited with Princess Catherine. So she and Princess Catherine back on September 18th, they did this event with the Scouts. And the reason I loved it so much, the reason I love this event is that it was two world powerhouses, two strong women,

Chapter 6: What happened to Meghan Markle's show 'With Love, Meghan'?
They can't even tell you the difference between a man and a woman. You don't know what gender you are and you're here paying all this money for an education. You gotta go back to the drawing board. So I love that they tackled this issue because it's very real on college campuses.
You send your kids to college, they could be indoctrinated with woke ideology, gender ideology, even if it's a more conservative school, okay? And I want the girls out there to know, okay, like Ainsley, don't feel vilified. Don't feel like you're wrong. Don't feel like you're nasty or you're bigoted or they're going to call you transphobic because you like biological realities, okay?
Because you accept... that humanity has evolved in this way for a gazillion years, okay? The fact that you know the difference between a man and a woman and you don't want to play the pronoun game, people are going to attack you. They're going to say you're bigoted, you're small-minded. Don't let them attack you.
You have a whole army of people here online and friends and family who support you and big influencers and podcasters. So I love that Ainsley stuck to her guns. She said, this is not proper English. This is not proper English. I don't know where you're from, but I'm not going to say they went to the store. It just isn't correct. It's not correct. It's not right.
And so I want the girls out there to know, like Ainsley, don't allow people to bully you into not believing biological realities. Now, something else that's going on. It's not okay, doesn't sit right with me. Billy Bob Thornton from the show Landman, he is talking about how award shows are snubbing, you know, Landman, Yellowstone, all of Taylor Sheridan's productions.
And he says that he believes it's political. I do as well. I think movies and shows that showcase life between Los Angeles and New York never win awards, right? The shows on HBO, they either take place in LA or New York or Chicago, these big cities, right? But people live across the country, right? We're not all a big blue country, right? Most of it is red, okay?
If you fly over the rest of the country, all these folks in Hollywood look down on the people, okay? In Michigan and Pennsylvania and Minnesota, okay? These people who can make our country run, okay? They have stories that need to be told, right? The story that's being told in Landman, very real story as someone from Texas, right? Where do you think the oil comes from?
Let's talk about infrastructure and business. But unless you're in that Hollywood elite cabal, you're probably not going to be winning any awards. And so I understand where Billy Bob Thornton is coming from, where he says that this is political because it definitely seems political. It's definitely political.
The Emmys, the Golden Globes, the Oscars, they really want to award very, very woke people. liberal stories, and I think they need to change. I think there's a reason award shows are going down and no one cares because the biggest show right now is Landman. Everyone's watching Landman, but then the awards, they don't want to give it their kudos, right?
