What are G-Lane and Tony talking about while battling two-day hangovers?

Unknown 0:00
So, hey, what are you going to do in the summer? Well, first we're going to go to Basque Country and then to Puuhamaa and from there to the boat and... It sounds like Jenni has a lot of everything this summer. And a keppi horse camp in Väksy, from there to the cabin and... But it's easy when Elisa Kotiturva controls the house, the cabin and the boat. And Anoppi should be taken to Tunturi. Freedom to enjoy in the summer. Elisa. Go to elisamyymälä.fi or elisa.fi.

Welcome on John Scott. Why can't it always be Friday? Well, you can. Because now I have. So Vallu Valppiola has a little Friday club in Helsinki's John Scott's restaurant. Every Friday and always for free. Welcome to John Scott's. Well, good morning, Tony Law.
Tony Lyall 0:56
Good morning, G-Lane. How are you this beautiful Monday? Well, I took Friday off, you see, and I had a men's health retreat. Lovely. Sounds very wholesome. Yes, 15 of my closest friends. Let's just say my mental health has never been worse right now. No serotonin left in the body. There's zero. I'm doubting most things. There's voices in my head. There's things about what did I do then, what did I do then. There was photos of me in my underpants trying to bend down to pick up a box of beer with my mouth and falling flat on my face.
Donald Trump 1:31
Good. Yeah, that old game. It's a good game.
Tony Lyall 1:32
Yeah, it is a good game. But not a game you should probably play after a few drinks no and yeah it's a game you play when you're young and you're actually quite nimble yes and you your hamstrings work and you can bend over quite well and then you get older and you sort of get a gut in the way and it's a less flattering photo as well with also the tummy all rolled up and your hamstrings completely stretched to their full capabilities a genuine nightmare Well, if it makes you feel any better, I'm in a very similar way. I was in beautiful Christchurch over the weekend for a friend's 40th. Yes. And the boat was well and truly nudged all the way. And so just really yesterday was maybe the biggest write-off I've had in quite some time.
Tony Lyall 2:09
And today, so far, doesn't seem much better. I sort of thought I might wake up this morning feeling refreshed, rejuvenated, but... Wake up with a dry mouth. Yeah, I still feel like that feeling afterwards when you kind of feel like you just need to have another shower or something, like still feel waxy, feel very waxy. You need something to make you feel better. Yeah. I drank about six fridge ciggies yesterday just to try and feel something. Yeah, I had some fried chicken yesterday and it sort of sorted me out, but it was all I could eat, sort of three bits of fried chicken and that was it for the entirety of the day. This morning, managed to do a quick run through, not a jog, sorry, through the drive-thru and got a... That's like, that is ambitious.
Tony Lyall 2:47
No, a quick run through the drive-thru, got myself a bacon and egg McMuffin and it's doing me proud so far, but it's been a hell of a sort of 48 hours. Okay, we can get through this. I think we can muster our energy and I think fake it till we make it is the key. As long as we sort of talk loudly and quickly, our energy levels might stay up there. But even then I tried to say energy levels and I almost had a stroke. Well, we've got Stephen Adams coming in later on today. Oh, good. Just great. We might have to just take ourselves into another room and just slap ourselves. Do we have any performance enhancing drugs? I don't know. Can we get meth? What is performance enhancing in the broadcast world? What would be regarded?
Tony Lyall 3:26
Is it meth? I think methamphetamine. I mean, it certainly has worked for some over the years. Darren McDonald. Yeah, there's a few of them over there. I think Matthew Ridge potentially. No, I don't want to defame anyone. I think he said that from the Game of Two Halves days. I mean, again, Allegedly. I don't want to put that out. I mean, there were signs, though. When you're biking up and down Ponsonby Road shirtless on a BMX with white headphones weaving in between traffic, there were signs. There were definitely signs.
