Um in case you haven't heard Um Manchester City have reportedly been found guilty of the vast majority of their one hundred and fifteen breaches of financial rules that they've been accused of by the Premier League. Now we do have to caveat and say there's still been no official word from the Premier League on it. It is very much based on reports at the moment. David Ornstein from The Athletic broke the news on Friday and it's been followed up by pretty much Everyone and anyone, a huge bombshell. I know obviously John and Andy, you were on the the initial reaction special on Friday. So I'll come to you first, Josh, just for your initial reaction to what was pretty unexpected development on Friday.
Well funnily enough, I was on a train to Manchester when when the news broke, I was I was off to go and drink pints of Guinness, so they they they tasted even better at Manchester's Guinness after uh after realizing uh the the news. It it's it's a funny one, isn't it? Like I'm I feel like I'm struggling to speak about it in any kind of good faith, and I'm completely okay with that position, by the way. Like I'm uh everything I'm thinking right now about City is in bad faith because I mean ultimately they've operated in i in bad faith. made made a a mess of the integrity of of the competition, the Premier League. But it's all things we've all known for ages and we've seen, you know, city fans in sort of public forums and city journalists even coming out and kind of, you know, at least defending if if not trying to at least, you know, muddy the waters in in the meantime.
So I guess not a great surprise really, but it it was just a it's one of those great moments to be on Twitter. Like there's a lot of madness on Twitter the when moments like this happen, it's it's a great place to be because like they're just a sheer like outpouring of memes and as I say, like just a more accounts of of bad faith about it of uh what I've been absolutely like soaking myself in over the weekend.
