Like we talked about this on the show yesterday. But the Giannis move, It's whether or not you're keeping your powder dry for the summer for some teams. I think about the Warriors with this, right? If the Bucs aren't moving Giannis at the deadline, what's their backup plan?
And look, from the Bucs' perspective, yeah, I agree with you. But from the Bucs' perspective, this is like we don't have to trade him right now. Right. You can wait until the summer. And so from Milwaukee's perspective, you want to get everything you're asking for. If you don't get what you're asking for, if there's a team out there that is short selling or short changing their offer, they're not going to get Giannis at this point. It's just not possible. Well, it's going to be the max offer for whatever they get.
Right. It does look as if I mean, the Knicks may not be as aggressive as um as going after him at the deadline you know and i think that that makes some sense if you think about our conversation that we had with eric name last week he talked about how waiting till the summer for the bucks might make a lot more sense because the knicks yeah could get some more assets yeah right now they've won six games in a row like sure the way narratives work now right but Mikael Bridges and Carl Anthony Towns trade value is probably lower than it was at the start of the season, I would say. And maybe it's rehabilitated by the summer, right? So maybe these guys have more value then. But the other thing is just being able to tie in the draft assets that I think are going to be important for the Bucs.
That's going to be more difficult to do right now. Eric, again, go back to our episode. If you guys are really into the Yana stuff, we're – you know, not completely tired of it yet. Go back and listen to that. Cause I thought it was, it was super informative. I've been thinking about some of the stuff he said a lot and especially like the team, like the Minnesota Timberwolves. I've got a trade for you if you want it. Let's do it. Okay, let's go. Because I was going to say, for me, the Timberwolves, they've got an opportunity here where their best offer actually could wind up bringing in some outside draft capital. They've got guys, other teams, I think, and contenders even may want, but other teams may want some of these players.
And I just think if you're the Bucs and you're looking to reset the table, the Timberwolves, they've got the right kind of contracts.
And from the Wolves side of things, you know that you have an opportunity to win a title this year if you get Anthony Edwards and Giannis Antetokounmpo for a playoff run.
