Well, you know, all kidding aside, I think this is a reminder to I should probably heed your advice. And to all of you guys that are turning it tuning in right now, the mental health breaks are important. They are. I'm very proud of all of you. I call you high information Americans. You all are kind of so deep into what's going on in the amount that you care means that that shared empathy. makes us susceptible to feeling it more and i think that when you get the chance to maybe check out still kind of maybe be in tune but maybe give yourself that safe space to kind of take a breath you should because we're in for a long battle i'm not going to bullshit any of you we're in for a long battle so i think it's a nice reminder jolly that we should probably take a little bit of time when we can to take a breath and kind of give ourself a little bit of space
100%. I mean, working in the field that I work in, that you work in, that we work in, we're reporting the news all day and we're analyzing everything. One part of me is like, oh, I can't take a break because all this stuff's happening. Then the other part of me reminds myself, if I don't take a break, I'm going to go crazy. Because every single time we think it can't get worse, it literally does. And I'm not making light of this. You might see I'm laughing, but I'm laughing so I don't cry. We are literally living on a timeline. where they're opening a tent prison, calling it Alligator Alcatrazma 7 merchandise. And it's not a joke. This isn't, you know, just us hyperbolizing things. It's real life happening in front of us.
So watching this kind of stuff happening around us, take a break when you can get one.
Yeah, I agree. And look, this alligator alcatraz, a.k.a. alligator Auschwitz, is in my backyard. It's literally less than an hour away from where I live in South Florida. And so we're really kind of in it down here. And I agree. I think just when we think it can't get any worse, it does. And I don't want to I don't want to kind of keep. people down because I was gonna start the show, just I wanted to provide updates. I've been trying to do so on my social media, but what was happened on July 4th over the weekend with the flash floods in Texas is definitely something I wanted to make sure everybody was aware about. The current updates is at least at least one hundred and two confirmed dead. They're still searching for dozens of others, including the 10 little girl campers from Camp Mystic, along with the 19 year old camp counselor.
Those are part of dozens. that are missing. The last count was at least 40-something that are confirmed missing. But as we all know, in natural disasters, the numbers tend to rise once the waters recede. I actually took a minute this morning, Jolly, to listen to The Daily on The New York Times. And there was a woman who was interviewed who went to Camp Mystic for six summers. And I know there's a lot of information on social media about this particular camp and the fact that it was a, quote, Christian camp, et cetera. And I don't really think that's the focus. I think the focus is I have a little girl who's 10.
