Okay, so however, this is video of them raiding Gracie Mansion early this morning about 6 a.m. Federal investigators showing up at the mansion.
Okay. So that was really early on. Again, federal investigators showing up at Gracie Mansion early this morning. It is believed to be about 6 a.m. Going inside, they were showing up for a raid. showing up for a raid at Gracie Mansion. Okay, and then they shot federal investigators again a little bit later on in the day, or this morning, actually showing up at the, there it is, they're outside. The media, as you can imagine, it is a mob here in New York City. Why am I talking about this? Eric Adams was beloved. I don't know if you guys know, he was on his way to becoming America's mayor. Everyone was excited about where he stood on crime. He is a former police commissioner, a police captain. We don't know what's in the indictment because it's sealed.
It's going to be, as we said, they're going to open it and then we'll know. And there may be a press conference and producers look because I think City Hall will carry a press conference and we'll be able to take that for you. It has been well known that federal investigators have focused on this since 2021 on whether Mayor Adams and his political campaign, whether they conspired with the Turkish government to receive illegal foreign donations and whether Mayor Eric Adams pressured fire department officials to sign off on the opening of a Manhattan high-rise consulate building for the Turkish government despite safety concerns. Okay? And as I said, about 6 a.m. on Thursday morning, this morning, nearly a dozen men and women dressed in business attire, they arrived in SUVs outside the entrance of Gracie Mansion, the mayor's official residence on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, where I am.
At least one vehicle had a federal law enforcement parking placard on it, okay? They were carrying briefcases, they were carrying backpacks, all of that. Then they went through their search of Gracie Mansion, okay? Reportedly spending at least two hours inside of the mansion. We'll learn soon what's going on with this really unfolding drama.
