And again, I have only prayers and compassion for Jerry Conley. What's not understandable, though, is why Democrats like Nancy Pelosi, they're so determinately went to bat for him. Trump's first term was a cesspool of corruption. In his second term so far, Trump and his entire family appear to be profiting massively off of scamming, mean coins and engaging in all sorts of shady activity.

Choosing a 75-year-old man recovering from cancer to lead such a dogged fight was never really a good idea. And again, they didn't have to choose Conley. They had AOC right there. You know, one of the most visible and well-liked Democrats in the nation. One who has managed to work effectively with party leadership now while still courting the party's diverse progressive base. And she's a viral sensation. She's constantly a trending topic on social media. And clip after clip, she has launched herself into political stardom by grilling corrupt CEOs or putting her Republican colleagues on blast. Now that Conley is retiring, I hope that Democrats rectify the situation back to AOC so that she can be the new ranking member.
It's not too late to admit that you made a mistake. I'm not always right, but I called this one from a mile away. I want you to take a look. This was my monologue from late last year. For once, yes, I told you so. This is going to tick off a lot of people, but you know what? I don't, I have zero Fs to give anymore. Democrats, why can't you seem to learn from your mistakes?

But one of the core reasons in my mind is that American voters feel that Democrats don't understand them. that Democrats are too old and out of touch. That's what they think. So given all of this, you would think that Democrats would seek to elevate the members of their ranks that defy that perception. You would think that they would spotlight young, smart, talented lawmakers.
