First of all, D.L., hello. Thank you for joining us. You know it's our one-year anniversary. You are our one-year anniversary guest.

I can get it to do this again. It's not doing it, but sometimes if I hit it the right way, it'll do that thing. I've noticed that thing, too. Yeah, like the balloons or whatever. I don't know what that is. So, DL, yeah, the folks love you. You were, we were like, DL is like a hit. Every time you come on, people demand more. Uh-oh. And so I like, look, man, I like people who are unfiltered. I like people who can change it up. They can say I'm wrong. You know what I'm saying?
They can see the other side.
They don't take any bullshit. They can say the truth is often insulting. Right. As I said on Bill Maher's show. I saw that earlier. I saw that. So we can talk about that. Can we talk about some of the stuff that's happening? By the way, thank you for being our guest. Thank you for always over the over. Always. OK, so let's start with this afternoon. We're going to talk with DL about some news of the day. OK, so this afternoon, a federal judge ordered a government, the government to reinstate USAID systems on Tuesday, ruling that the accelerated shutdown of the agency led by Elon Musk, quote, likely violated the United States Constitution in multiple ways. And so the judge said, put it back. But the thing is, they're fighting it.
They're saying basically, you know, Donald Trump's response and usually through the spokesperson is we're going to do what we're going to do. And this is the president's agency. And the president gets to decide.
The president is obviously is a king, but he's going to try to act like one. And obviously everybody knew that this was happening. The thing that's interesting, Donald Trump ran on stopping illegal immigrants from From taking American jobs, and now he's letting an immigrant take America's jobs. But all of those things, it's funny, I'll hear farmers who are angry because of their part of it, or federal workers who are angry because of their part of it, or veterans who are angry because of their part of it. They didn't realize that anybody was talking to them. When you talked about, you know, government waste, they didn't think that they would be included in that. And when you talk about, you know, the gutting of all these systems, farmers didn't know because I think they just are unfamiliar with the terms.
And it's just interesting how interconnected the government is and all these systems are to each other. But ultimately, people wanted eggs lower, but planes higher. And we've got the opposite.
Why do you think these people, and we'll get back to, well, let's first, let's get to USAID and then we'll talk about the farmers. That's part of it too. Right. It is voting against their own interests because I see farmers now saying, you know, we have these programs, we have these incentives saying we used to use some of these funds to give back to the community, to help feed people who needed help in the community. And now they are cutting out this, they're calling them budget cuts, but is it really a budget cutters?
I've heard this a lot. I didn't vote for that. Yes, you did. You just didn't vote for those things to affect you. They preyed on people's racism and biases and fears and selfishness. They thought as long as they weren't talking to them, everything would be fine. Everything that's going on, they assumed would happen. The chaos and all those things would happen. They just never thought it would affect them. And I think ultimately we're learning all those civics lessons that people were talking about. We should have paid attention. We should have. Because now we see that not knowing those things and then being aware that we're not aware of them is detrimental.
