Someone, you know, texted you or someone DM you or put a comment on one of your posts and you're like, I've had enough.
Yeah, pretty much. So really up until last fall, I was super casual with what I was posting. It was pretty sporadic and there was no kind of cohesion. Right. I would talk about my favorite French fries from fast food places, like just nonsense mostly. And I would post political content, but really, I didn't necessarily see a place for my voice in the conversation. And I was of the mindset of like, well, leave it to the experts, right? There are people out there who can better speak to these things than me. And it's better that I just boost and support their content rather than making my own. And that post-election changed for me. I just had a shift in my mindset because some of the messaging I was wanting to see about fighting back and
We're not going to take this lying down. I just wasn't seeing it in the way that I wanted to see it. So I decided to post and say, I think we need to get meaner. I think we need more Regina Georges out there. Not all of us are a Miss Rachel. We love Miss Rachel, right? But that's not me. That's not who I am. And I think there is value in that. And that is a gift too.

Yeah. So a Regina George liberal is someone who fights back. Right. And she can fight a little dirty. She is a mastermind. She can, you know, advocate for herself and for others. And what people forget about Regina George is because a lot of the replies I get are, well, we remember what happened to Regina at the end because she gets hit by a bus. Right. I'm like, what? no but that's actually not the end after that she she fully recovers she meets other women via the lacrosse team and i actually also played lacrosse i have a lacrosse stick in my trunk as we speak which is just ironic um she met people on the lacrosse team who where she could channel her energy and her anger and they won a bunch of championships, right?
So I think people forget that she wasn't done and she wasn't out when she got hit by the bus, she figured out how to move forward. And I feel like what we're doing right now is we're making our lacrosse team, right? And we're gathering and we're channeling our anger into productive ways.
You kind of hit a, the timing was everything for you because I think out in the world, people wanted Democrats to be more Regina George and to fight back and to fight dirtier, as you say. And I don't actually, I think that Democrats in Washington, meaning lawmakers, didn't quite get it. But the folks out in the world on the streets, they were like, can you guys start fighting back and being more Regina George?
